Double Chocolate Brownie Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2011
This recipe was easy and delicious. The only change I made was I used a half cup of strong coffee instead of water. I also used the Satiny Chocolate Glaze recipe from this site. It doesn't get any better than this!!!

Vegetarian Chickpea Sandwich Filling

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2011
I have to admit I was skeptical about this recipe but decided to try it anyway and I'm glad I did. It was delicious. I doubled it and made a few changes. I didn't add as much lemon juice or onions but did add more dill weed and celery. Like another reviewer, I added a little of the chick pea liquid and used a potatoe masher and it worked out great. I highly recommed that you refrigerate over night to let the flavors come together. I served it on toasted pita bread, lettuce, tomato, havarti with dill cheese, and cucumber. This would make a great dip with pita chips.

Italian Peas

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
This was a delicious and very easy recipe. I added chunks of portobello mushrooms and a sprig of fresh rosemary while the peas simmered. I will definitely make this dish again. Thanks!

Spinach Cheese Appetizers

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2008
I have been making this recipe for years. I use cheddar cheese instead of Montery Jack and I add lemon juice. These changes give the recipe a little more zing!

Black Bean Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
Very good and tasty recipe although I did make a few changes. I add 1 tbs. of minced garlic,2 potatoes cut up, frozen corn, 1 can original Rotel,3 cans Garcia'l black beans drained but not rinsed, 1 vegetable cube, 2 cans vegetable broth, and 2 bay leaves. I cooked it until all vegies were tender then cooled half of the soup and put it in the blender (I didn't blend anything in the beginning as the recipe suggested). I reheated the soup and added fresh spinach at the end. It was a delicious, hearty soup and look forward to making again.

White Bean Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2007
This recipe was wonderful. I did make a few changes. I used a can of seasoned tomatoes, 2 cans of vegetarian broth, 2 cans of white beans, and 4 small cut up red potatoes. After it cooked and I blended half of the soup, I heated it up and added fresh spinach until it wilted. The flavor and consistency was perfect and I will definitely make again.

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
This recipe was wonderful but I made a few changes. I used all chicken broth and no water and I used dry spices instead of fresh. Also, I added shrimp and scallops the last few minutes of cooking. I will definitely make this dish again.
