Sylvia's Ribs

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
Try these and you will never have to go to an expensive resturant to get your favorite ribs again! As my hubby said "You found a winner here." Easy recipe and I love the way I could design it to our specific taste ie: less sugar, more garlic, etc. We will have these several times this summer I am sure.

Buckeye Balls II

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
I had high hopes for this recipe after reading so many 5 star ratings. However, I found them to be WAY too sweet to the point of losing the peanut butter taste. I even added extra peanut butter than the recipe called for. Big disappoint; I won't make these again.

Butternut Squash Soup II

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2008
THIS SOUP IS WONDERFUL AND QUITE SIMPLE TO MAKE. I TOOK THE ADVISE OF OTHERS AND DID NOT ADD CELERY; BUT DID ADD A DLOP OF SOUR CREAM AT THE VERY END. I ALSO BAKED THE SQUASH AS ADVISED. DELICIOUS!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
After reading all the great reviews on this recipe; I was very anxious to make this sauce/meatball recipe. VERY disappointing. Meatballs were tasteless and sauce had only a tomato flavor. Even with adding spices as others advised this is not a keeper. I really do not understand why this got such high ratings.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2007
I've been searching for ages for a great scone recipe; I've tried many on this sight but all seemed rather tasteless. These, however, are fabulous! I cannot figure out just what it is..perhaps it is the sour cream & cream of tartar. I added pecans and topped with just a bit of maple flavored powered sugar icing. Also baked at 400 degrees for first 5 minutes then turned it down to 350 to get crispness on outside with softness inside. But even without these minor changes the is a super recipe....Thank you Grandma!

Daria's Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
I followed the recipe to a "T" and found it to be quite ordinary. Meat slightly tough and sauce bland. Too bad, I had such high hopes.

Donna's Cheesy Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
My husband could not get enough of this. We had it for dinner with a green salad and fresh fruit. I took another reviewer's advice and used the "easy pie crust" by Louise. Great combo!!

Easy Pie Crust

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2007
This was a very simple recipe to follow and quite tasty. I did use my hands, however to flatten down the crust onto the pie plate....the fork left impressions I did not like. I can't wait to make some more pies!!

Mom's Stovetop Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
My husband and I enjoyed this very much. It was full of flavor yet had none of that messy bbq sauce to deal with. I might not bother with the cilantro next time; it didn't seem to add any extra flavor.

Stuffed Halibut

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
This was so simple and great tasting. I used it on top of cod..great! It would also taste terrific as a spread on crackers, minus the fish of course.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
If I could have given 6 stars; I would have!! This was fantastic and I do not really like caramel corn!! I am taking it on a women's retreat to share with friends next month and expect to be the hit! I did discover that using a cookie pan did not work for me...I liked the deeper turkey type pan better.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
This was the best and easiest chicken I have ever made. I used only chicken tenders and they were a hit with friends and family. The name "Honey Chicken" does not do it justice; it makes one think that it has just a sweet flavor. I have decided to call it "Oh, My Gosh Chicken" because it is Oh, my gosh simple to make and Oh, my gosh yummy!

Ham and Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2006
These beans were delightful. Next time I MAY use less brown sugar as my husband does not like the sweet taste as much as I do. Easy and Yummy.
