I've been making bread for a while, but I am new to making sourdough. This was my third try and it is one of the best recipes EVER, not just among my sourdough tries. It slices perfectly. Not too crunchy, not too soft. Great recipe!! I am saving this one!

Pan-Fried Asparagus

I'm not a big fan of asparagus but my husband asks for it regularly. Now thanks to this recipe, we all enjoy it! Even my 2 yr old!

Butternut Squash Rolls

Loved them! I used some leftover squash that I had baked, pureed and frozen for baby food. The little guy did not need it anymore so I wanted a creative way to use it for dinner. This was just the thing and this will be how I use the rest of the leftover squash. By the way, it works great on the dough setting in my bread machine.

Holiday Eggnog Pie

In my opinion, this was just ok. There was not a ton of flavor. It was better with whip cream but still not worth repeating. Also the cooking time for me was at least 75 min. I lost track after reseting the timer over and over. It took much longer than called for here. I did follow the directions exactly.

Chocolate Cut Out Cookies

I really wish that I had NOT followed the suggestions of other reviewrs by removing one egg from this recipe. The cookies were too dry. I would have given them a 5 (figuring on making them correctly) but the chocolate flavor is not quite what I was looking for. I might give these one more try with all 3 eggs.

Sunday Dinner Rolls

I hated this recipe. It is SOOOOO sticky. It was way too messy. The results were fine but there are so many recipes that are easier and just as good so I will not be using this one again.

Chocolate Peanut Treats

These taste great and they're super easy. Here's a suggestion: before you melt the chocolate add in a tablespoon of creamy peanut butter. It helps the chocolate to spread and the oil in it makes the chocolate melt more evenly.

Honeydew Soup

I had a ton of leftover melon from a brunch and I thought that this might be a good way to use it up. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of honeydew but this was pretty good (for honeydew). Next time I will try to get a thicker texture by freezing some or all of the melon cubes.

Ground Beef Pie

We enjoyed this with a few modifications taken from other reviewers. Here are the changes I made. I browned the ground beef with onion, garlic powder, salt and pepper. I added corn when the ground beef was done. I served this with salsa on the side which really made it work. Next time I might add the salsa before I cook it. It's not the most amazing recipe but I did enjoy it.

Easy Broccoli Quiche

This was great! We added some ham and cut down to 3 eggs. It made a great meal just as it was and I plan to make it again soon. Perfect!

Graham Cookies

A little clarification please...Does 15 graham crackers mean 15 sheets (of 4 crackers each)? I thought that it meant 15 crackers so I don't think that I had enough graham crackers in mine. Also the 8by8 pan of cookies did not work really well but that might be because I did not have enough crackers.

Lemon Biscuits

These are great! It's really just a lemony sugar cookie but that's just what I wanted. The lemon flavor is very mild so next time I might use a little more extract. This ones a keeper!

Chewy Brownie Cookies

My husband asked for brownies but I was out of butter and white sugar. These saved me a trip to the store and made him a happy guy. I would not change a thing in this recipe. They are perfect!

Cinnamon Apple Pancakes

Tortillas II

I was able to get 12 tortillas but they were much too small. I probably should have just made 6 instead. Next time I'll make a double batch. TIP: I substituted 1/2 cup of the regular flour with wheat flour. It gave it a fantastic flavor but I had to add more water to make the dough firm enough.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

These are great! They are a little hard to "assemble" but it's the perfect mix of chocolate and peanut butter. I prefer semisweet chocolate. The only problem with them is that I might have to share!
