I am a mother of four. I also work full time. My parents sit with the kids while my husband and I work so on our days off we like to cook really nice meals for our family. My husband used to be a chef and makes some really amazing things. He's been teaching me the finer points of cooking.

Carrot Cake
This was the best carrot cake ever! The only things I did different was that I added a tsp of all spice and I did half white sugar and half brown sugar. I made this for my dad for his 69th birthday and everyone devoured it! I did have to bake it about 15 min longer that it called for.

Sausage Crescent Rolls
I made these for dinner with some roasted red potatoes. I used grands buttermilk biscuits instead of crescent rolls. I rolled out the dough and put a large spoon full of the sausage/cream cheese mix, a large spoon full of scrambled eggs, and some shredded cheddar. They came out like a breakfast biscuit hot pocket. So yummy!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken
This was yummy!!!! I didn't have any onion powder so I just left it out. I used creole seasoning instead of salt and minced garlic instead of powder in the end sauce and added a shot of tequila. Not very time consuming either. Pretty much the perfect dish! Thanks for sharing!
