Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
These were good, the bars were very moist. The only problem I had was the banana in the frosting. Even with the lemon juice they turned brown and made the bars look very unappealing.

Sweet Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
I liked these and so did the hubby. The only problem I had was having to add about a cup more apple juice to have any sauce at all. Thanks!

Macaroni and Cheese with Caramelized Onions and Bacon

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
Wow! This is soooo good. It takes a bit of work but the results are well worth it. I've made homemade macaroni and cheese for years always adding the cheese to the sauce. Adding the cheese directly to the noodles and then mixing the white sauce in makes the mac and cheese much cheesier. The only thing I did differently was use about a Tbsp. of dried parsley and omit the paprika and hot pepper sauce. Thanks for a great recipe.

Prego® Now and Later Baked Ziti

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
This was ok, I like the other baked ziti recipe on this site. This recipe has less ingredients which makes it easier to make, but it's kind of bland.

Angela's Oriental Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
It's not that this is bad, it's just glorified top ramen. I don't know why I expected more. I read the ingredients, but just expected that it would have more flavor.

Torta Rustica

This is really good. I omitted the peppers because I don't like them, but added some sundried tomato to the ricotta mixture. Everyone liked the recipe and it came out great! Thanks!

Turtle Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
The flavor in this cake is great. The first layer that bakes first was actually floating in the caramel sauce when I added it to the pan. The two cakes baked together and the caramel soaked into the bottom of the cake. Maybe the caramel level is supposed to sit a little while before adding it to the first layer. I will make this again. Thanks!

Very tasty and easy. Followed the recipe exactly and it turned out great. Hubby has already packed the leftovers for lunch for the next couple days.

Bulgogi (Korean Barbecued Beef)

I tripled the marinade ingredients. Left out the MSG, carrot, and onion. We are out of propane, so I could these in a frying pan. Very tasty and tender. Well liked by all. Thanks!

Beef Nacho Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
Not bad, not real exciting either. The flavor is OK. I ususally don't fault that to the recipe, as I cannot smell. Not being able to smell, diminishes my taste ability to sweet, salty, bitter, or sour. But DH and DD thought it didn't have much flavor either. Thanks!

Individual Beef Wellingtons

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2010
These were great. Had them for dinner tonight. They were easy to make. I only made two with one sheet of puff pastry cut in 1/2. I don't have any sherry, so I used balsamic vinegar instead. They were awesome and DH ate the whole filet. Thanks!

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2010
This recipe is very good. I have made a lot of cheesecakes, never used sweetened condensed milk before. Not sure if it added anything than other recipes I've used that has different ingredients. It is very rich. Very easy. My only problem, though I did leave it in the oven for an additional hour, the top cracked deeply. Other recipes that call for leaving the cake in the oven have not cracked like this one. Thanks!
