Tortellini Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2013
My husband really liked this.. scored it 8 out of 10. I thought it was excellent. My son, who is very picky, did not like it, but that was OK by us, it meant we had more! The only minor changes I made were, 1) only used 1/2 a jalapeno, since I have a wimpy palette, (Hubby would have loved the extra heat) 2) used a can of green chilies since that's all I had on hand and 3) used milk with the flour, not oil. Thanks for a great recipe!

Lemon Sugar Tea Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2012
My husband gobbles these up within 2 or 3 days of my making them. I can't make a batch for a potluck unless I make a double batch and leave half home! The only thing I changed is I made a light "drizzle" from powdered sugar and fresh lemon juice and drizzled a little on each cookie. It gives the lemon flavor a kick! Definite keeper recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Gary's Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2012
This was delicious! I did make a change, I left off the mushrooms all together because I hate them, but instead, stuffed red bell peppers.. Oh my gosh! fabulous! My husband and I were fighting over who got to take the leftovers the next day for lunch! also, 2 cups of melted garlic butter was waaay too much for doing 4 pepper halves.. 1 cup was MORE than plenty! Thanks for the great tasting recipe.... oh, one last thing, we used canned Bumble Bee brand pink crab meat. NOT imitation crab meat!! 2 cans was about 2/3 lb of crab meat but it turned out great!

a little crunchier than I would have liked, but a good flavor, and not too difficult to make.

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

use low sodium beef stock, almost double the wine and a large can of stewed tomatoes works just as well as the fresh.

Butter-Dipped Biscuit Squares

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
I was very disappointed in this recipe. First, it was unclear if you bake the dough IN the butter, or just dip the biscuits. Second, they turned out NOTHING like the picture. Flat bread is what I got, and yes, I used self-rising flour. I dont think I will make these again.. My son, who LOVES biscuits wouldnt touch them.

Stuffed Peppers with Turkey and Vegetables

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
Other than accidentally mincing the onions in the food processor instead of chopping them, this recipe was uber easy to make.. I doubled it, using 1 yellow, 4 red and 4 green peppers.. had plenty of stuffing. smells wonderful cooking.. used suggestions of tomato sauce on instad of paste.. had to strain the mixture a little, as it was watery, but definately a keeper!
