Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies III

These turned out really nice. I have never done the boiling water and baking soda in a recipe. Don't know what that does, but the cookies turned out good so who cares!!!!

Bread Machine Bagels

I made bagel dogs with this recipe. They turned out really good. Looked a little funny, but tasted excellent. Next time I would play with a bit more flavoring for them.

Turkey Brine

My turkey was dry. I didn't overcook, but it just did not work for me. I was really hoping for a juicy turkey, this was not it. The taste was decent though so instead of one star I give it two. Turkey sandwich with plenty of mayo should cover up the dryness a bit.

Easy Beef Stroganoff

Nice easy meal, but I do have to agree it is a little bland as is. But with a bit of spices to suit your taste it is nice comfort food. I threw in a bit of salt, pepper, garlic salt, and a dollop of cream cheese. Nice meal on a chilly night!!

Eggplant Parmesan II

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Well after coming back here I must have read too many reviews and changed the original some. I was in a pinch and only had limited ingredients on hand, was hoping this would work. I used heavy whipping cream and a little half and half instead of milk. I only had canned parmesan and didn't want the sauce to be grainy, so I put it in my blender first. Added some cream to the blender too so I could get all the parmesan out.(ha ha) I only used half of the cream cheese cause that was all I had and I microwaved it first to get it soft. Was hoping it would be easier to blend with the butter and garlic I sauted. Seemed to work pretty good, I had no problems with it being grainy or oily just a nice sauce. My husband even put it on his hot dog. Mind you I don't recommend that, cause I did not try it. Sounded yuck to me, but he assured me it wasn't. Yes we were really scraping the cupboards today!!

Vanilla - Chocolate Powdered Sugar Frosting

This turned out really good for me. I made the chocolate version. I kept sifting the dry ingredients until it turned a uniform color. I then blended until all the ingredients mixed together and formed one lump. Then I added half and half instead of milk. Turned it creamy. I would definately use again. I liked it cause it didn't take a lot of ingredients, or a lot of work.

Four Cheese Macaroni

This was really good. I did as others suggested and melted the cheese, half and half,and butter together then mixed it all together before baking. I also added a bit of onion salt. This was great!!

Traditional Mashed Potatoes

Thanks Alot!!! This is the first time I have made mashed potatoes instead of glue!!!!! I had almost given up even trying, but I wanted to make some pierogis and needed mashed potoatoes. I believe these will work wonderfully.
