Balsamic and Rosemary Grilled Salmon

This was very simple and extremely tasty! I used minced garlic from a jar and fresh rosemary out of the garden. My 5 year old daughter liked this as well as the grown ups! Will make again!

Pecan-Crusted Pork with Pumpkin Butter

I make this all the time and my family loves it! The only two things I do differently is substitute "Honey Bunches of Oats with Pecans" cereal instead of bread crumbs and I cut the Pumpkin Butter ingredients in half. Make sure the chops are thin enough so they cook through. Enjoy!

Clam Sauce with Linguine

Very nice! My husband and I made this for our "date night" and it turned out really well. We did add a little sour cream as per other's suggestions. We paired this with a green salad, some crusty bread and white wine...yum!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Great recipe...like many others I used the broth instead of water for the chicken and veggie mixture and then just reserved it and used it again to make the sauce. I used potatoes instead of celery (hate celery) and used oregano instead of celery seed (that is what I had). This is a very rustic and comforting pot pie that is wonderful when you need a warm fuzzy!

Steamed Mussels with Fennel, Tomatoes, Ouzo, and Cream

Love, love, love these mussels! Did not use the fennel or ouzo, I thought my 7 year old might not like the flavor. Didn't miss it! She actually exclaimed during dinner tonight "I am in heaven"!! What more can you ask for!! My restauranteur husband wants to add these to his menu at work! Make sure to have some crusty bread to dip in the sauce...yuuummmm! Made these again a few nights ago with frozen mussels, still really good, but just not the same as with the fresh. Also, used extra sauce to mix in to some thin spaghetti...really good!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

My first apple pie and it was incredibly easy and perfectly delicious. I added cinnamon to the sauce and took other's advice and put most of the sauce over the apples and then brushed the remaining sauce on the top crust.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Great recipe...as others suggested I added the panko on top with the parm and baked in the oven. Had a 4 oz. can of jalapenos, added 2 oz. to the dip and garnished the top with the rest. Served with pretzel crisps and tortilla chips. Took to a Superbowl party and it was a hit! Will definitely make again!

Linguine and Clam Sauce

Nice recipe. I don't like it when people make big changes, but, I did make a few (trying to use up ingredients from another recipe). I reduced the olive oil to just a few tablespoons and used it to saute the garlic with a little added minced onion. I also added 1/2 cup each of white wine and heavy cream. The dish came out beautifully, but the sauce was even better the next two days for leftovers (became more creamy). Make sure to add the pasta to the sauce and blend before serving, don't pour the sauce over the noodles. Easy, inexpensive and a crowd pleaser!

Wedge Salad with Elegant Blue Cheese Dressing

Made for a late night Valentine's Dinner along with some steaks for my husband and I. I added chopped bacon and dried cranberries to the salad as garnishes. Also, I cheated and used a really thick store bought gourmet blue cheese dressing and thinned it with a little milk and then made a balsamic and brown sugar glaze to drizzle on top. (To mimic the wedge salad that is sold at Outback Steakhouse). This was delicious and was exactly what I was hoping it would be!

The Best Banana Bread

Very nice! I went with half a cup of white sugar and 1/2 a cup of brown sugar and I added 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts and a dash of cinnamon. It turned out very well and keeps in the fridge for a long time without drying out. Every once in a while I would just cut a slice and heat it up in the microwave for breakfast or a mid-day snack! My husband and my 7 year old daughter both loved it as well!
