Aunt Anne's Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
Many thanks! I made this for DH's birthday as he is a huge fan of cinnamon coffee cake. This is so moist and tasty and light. We had company and everyone loved it, son & wife broke diet, brother & fiancee raved, DH said it is definitely the best coffee cake he's ever had, outshines Starbucks even. I want to memorize it and pass it on to all my friends! Out of state of course, can't be giving it away to the locals :-)

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
Best bread DH has ever had! It was delicious. Except for fresh rosemary, oregano & thyme instead of Italian seasoning, I followed the recipe. My bread machine crashed so I bought a Kitchenaid HD and this was its first outing so I combined reviewer Tang 29's "by hand" tips as well as Allrecipes Proofing Yeast since I wasn't sure if mine was good - it was! And Recipezaar's #294941 "Earl's Homemade Bread for the Kitchenaid". While there was alot of juggling pages, the combo produced a full flavored aromatic round loaf that I will make often (as soon as I write everything down). Thank you Jo! Allrecipes, Earl, and reviewer Tang_29!

Spicy Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2006
Family raved. Husband brought some to work for lunch. The aroma drew many requests to taste, and many requests to bring more. Three days running, he finally wants something else for lunch.

Tex Mex Shark and Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2006
Marinated shark steaks with olive oil and Emeril's season rub overnight. Difficult to cut into chunks, maybe my knife. Shark took 2 minutes longer to cook but was then tender as prime rib and not fishy. Very flavorful. However the "already cooked" frozen shrimp were a little tough. Served over rice pilaf instead of noodles and didn't use mozzarella. Delicious! Thanks.

Carnation® Quiche Lorraine

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2006
Added 1/2 cup frozen chopped spinach (defrosted and drained). After 30 min. turned heat up to 375 for another 13 min. - perfection. To reheat, microwave 2-3 minutes. Rave reviews from all.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2006
Though too cheesy and mushy for us, I thought it was ok. But husband said don't make it again. The appearance did our son in, he wouldn't try it. Perhaps adding some color to the top, maybe parsley.
