I've been a vegetarian for 18 years, but I still cook meat dishes for my family.
My favorite things to cook
I love making recipes that include fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden. I make a lot of mexican dishes, but I also like to experiment with new recipes, or come up with my own.
My cooking triumphs
I made a complex leg of lamb recipe for Easter and numerous homemade side dishes. Everything came out with perfect timing and my family still talks about the meal (a new tradition that I will make yearly).
My cooking tragedies
My parents encouraged me to cook for myself at a young age because I was such a picky eater. For St. Patrick's Day I made everyone pancakes. Along with the green food coloring, I added mint flavoring. They ended up by the dog house and she buried them!
