About this Cook
I have cooked ever since I was little. I still love to cook today and I continue to improve. The highlight of my day is to come home from work and cook a good meal for my boyfriend and me. I also look forward to making things to take to family get togethers.
My favorite things to cook
I love flavor so I love to use a variety of spices and sauces. I don't use exotic things that I can't find in the grocery store. I use my creativity to make my food gourmet. We love grilled and bbq meats. I also love to do different things with veggies. My own spaghetti sauce is also a family favorite.
My favorite family cooking traditions
For every holiday my mom and I would get up early and cook together. We would make all the fixings. Even though I don't live at home anymore, I still like to make things to bring and impress her with my improved cooking talent!
My cooking triumphs
My own spaghetti sauce and bbq sauce would have to be my favorite. I have mastered the right combination of flavor for both.
My cooking tragedies
Well, one Easter morning I caught my oven on fire because my French apple tart boiled over. Surprisingly, it still turned out good. Oh! And this one time I made bbq chicken legs. I was in a hurry because we had company so I parboiled them and grilled them on my indoor grill. Well, to my embarassment they weren't done in the middle. I was devestaded so now I know not to compromise a good meal by trying to shorten the prep and cook time to make it.

North Carolina-Style Pulled Pork
This recipe is great! I was not able to smoke the meat on the grill so I made it in the crock pot. I added all the ingredients and cook it on low for 8-9 hours. It turned out moist, tender, and juicy! Oh and I used a pork butt. I made it twice already! Great recipe!

Simple BBQ Ribs
The ribs turned out really good! They were moist and tender. I will definitely stick to this recipe for when I make ribs.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies IV
These were the best oatmeal cookies I have ever tasted! Everyone else that tried one loved them too! I added about 1/2 tsp all spice to give them a boost of flavor. They are moist and chewy just how I like them! Thank you for the awesome recipe!
