Accidental Fish

This was so yummy. I will tweak it a little to personal tastes next time but very good. (Next time, more tomato and more onion.) Tried this with Tilapia as the store was out of Mahi Mahi. I paired this with some brown rice and some grilled asparagus. VERY YUMMY! The hint of lemon really hit the spot.

Fettuccine Alfredo

This recipe was ok. I made as directed and it was waaay too thick and it was VERY bland. It's a good start but needs something. I think I will try some garlic and some other spices and see if that will help.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

If you're looking for bland cookies...Go for these. I followed the recipe exactly and the "dough" was way too wet. I had to add more flour to even form a ball. I tried one after cooking and nothing special about them. Very bland. Getting rid of this recipe!

Oatmeal Chip Cookies

I generally don't like oatmeal cookies but these were extremely good. Just the right amount of oats and very soft and chewy! Just beware, this recipe makes A LOT of cookies!

Chocolate Caramel Candy

I wasn't enthralled with this recipe. the candy was extremely rich and I didn't care for the butterscotch taste of it. I might try it again without the butterscotch because I think the recipe has potential.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

These cookies were good, but it seems they lack something. Not sure what it is. Also, they didn't hold the cookie cutter shape, they expanded too much. Not sure what happened. Followed the recipe exactly.

Mini Cheesecakes III

This was my first attempt at any kind of cheesecake. All I can say is WOW! These turned out so good, not overly rich and not overly sweet. Just perfect! Will make again very soon! Thanks for this great recipe!

It's Chili by George!!

My chili hunt continues...Don't get me wrong, it's a good recipe but it is a gut bomb. It's a very heavy chili and I'm looking for something that isn't murder to the digestive system :) Taste is outstanding but much too heavy.

Classic Cinnamon Rolls

With a less than stellar record with home made bread, I was reluctant to try this. I was so glad I did! They came out absolutely perfect. I didn't change a single thing from the recipe and it came out great. Just be aware that it makes a lot of cinnamon rolls. they were melt in your mouth good! They were even better than the renouned "Johnson's Corner" rolls...WAY BETTER! I may tinker with this recipe by adding a few nuts or raisins but definitely worth trying without!

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

This is the first pie crust recipe that I made. I was very worried that it wouldn't turn out (I've heard pie crust horror stories) It came out perfect. I couldn't have had better luck! I haven't tried it with many pies yet but I've made several pumpkin pies with it and it turns out excellent! I read tips on how to avoid pie crust catastrophes and so far, it's worked like a charm. I don't think I will need to search for another crust, this is terrific!

Not very good. Wasn't creamy or cheesy. I guess I'm finicky because I like Black Eyed Peas Broccoli Cheese Casserole. If that's what you are looking for, keep looking. this one isn't it.

Di's Delicious Deluxe Deviled Eggs

I'm not exactly sure how to rate this since I do not like hard boiled eggs. I did try one and these aren't dry, flat and tasteless like other deviled eggs I've had. I could actually eat these. The only thing I changed was I added quite a bit more hot sauce to give it more of a kick. Everyone liked them but I don't think they are exceptional since I wasn't asked for the recipe but still pretty good.

Apple Crisp Cups

I made these for a funeral potluck. They are great individual servings. They taste pretty good. I would suggest serving them warm. The only thing is they are a tiny bit dry and could be a little sweeter. Otherwise, a great recipe.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Didn't turn out well. Followed the reciped to a T but the dough was far too dry. I thought I goofed up and so I made another batch. They turned out awful. if you put any pressure on the dough, it breaks because it is too dry. So the "thumbprint" cookies couldn't handle any pressure. I had to improvise and shape them on the cookie sheet itself. I cooked them and they were nothing to rave about. Very dry and completely void of flavor (except for the jelly spot) Wouldn't recommend.
