Chicken Tikka Masala
Very delicious and authentic tasting, but I had to make a few adjustments, based on previous reviewers. 1 - Just use salt to taste. The recipe calls for WAY too much salt (and I like my food very salty!) 2 - The dish as written is very spicy, so I halved the cayenne pepper in the marinade and the jalapeno in the sauce. 3 - I didn't feel like using skewers and grilling, so i placed the cut up chicken in a baking dish and baked at 375 for 25 minutes before finishing in the sauce. 4 - I added 3-4 oz. tomato paste and 2 tsp. of garam masala to the sauce. In addition I used 1 1/2 cups of half and half instead of heavy cream. I served the chicken with yellow rice and store bought naan...YUM!

Cake Balls
Delicious! The recipe is very easy to make, but time consuming. It would make a great rainy day project. I used devil's food cake mix, and made my own cream cheese frosting (whipped together 8oz. cream cheese, 1/4 c. butter, 1 c. powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract). I also melted down a few oz. of Trader Joe's 72% bittersweet chocolate for the outside chocolate coating, instead of confectioners coating, and it was delicious. I melted the chocolate in the microwave, instead of a double boiler.

Whipped Shortbread Cookies
These cookies taste delicious, but completely crumble when I try to pick them up. They certainly 'melt in your mouth'. Perhaps I should have used 2 cups of flour like some other reviewers did. Also, my cookies are much flatter than the photo. Not very photogenic. I followed the recipe exactly, except I added 1 tsp. of almond extract to the batter. I cannot imagine what went wrong here....
