Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

I love lamb chops on the grill-decided to try this recipe...AWESOME! I followed the recipe and used good vinegar as suggested...delish! I can't wait to make this when my organic share of shallots comes in later this summer. Served it with roasted garlic asparagus and salad...a perfect Weekend splurge dinner!

Barbeque Halibut Steaks

This dish was a winner at our house! My husband is not a fan of fish, and my kids never like the same things, but this marinated halibut made every one happy at dinner last night! I used olive oil in place of the butter, and doubled the recipe for 1.5 lbs of fish...which was all gone by the end of dinner! Success!

Red, White and Blue Slaw Salad

What a great simple recipe! I made this for a family bbq and everyone loved it-even my sister who can't stand cabbage! She like it so well she asked that I bring it for her next bbq! I used Marzettis light slaw dressing and it was great!

Chutney Baked Brie

I've always wanted to bake a brie, so I chose this recipe...it was great. Made it for a "girls night in" and we all enjoyed it very much. I did cut the rind off the top before rubbing in the curry. It spread out a bit, but the flavor combo was the best! I will be making this again for sure!

Marinated Flank Steak

Yum! I only made one adjustment...adding a bit of fajita seasoning in place of the pepper...it was very delish and the whole family enjoyed it. I left the steak overnight and the flavor was great...will be using this all summer!

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

FYI...I'm not a baker, have never made a roll cookie before, never used fresh pumpkin puree either and this turned out great! I used parchment on my 12X16 jelly roll pan, used lots of powdered sugar on the towel, made the filling and chilled it and cooled the roll in the fridge about 40 minutes as suggested by other raters. My sister who is an excellent cook and baker really loved them...they were on the moist side, but everyone enjoyed them that way! I will be making these again!!!

Sweet-Sour Red Cabbage

Made this with my last organic share head of red cabbage. My husband LOVED it and he doesn't generally like cabbage. It went perfectly with our roasted pork with bavarian seasonings! Thanks for the receipe!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

All I can say is Yum! Made this tonight following directions plus added panko breadcrumbs and old bay as suggested. Awesome and easy! My husband loved it and the fact that the house doesn't smell of fish! I love the idea of good fish at home!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Made this for my dh b-day dinner...didn't put in the tobasco, but followed recipe exactly otherwise...It was smokin' hot! Glad I had sour cream in the house to cool it a bit. The kids didn't eat it as it was too hot, so next time I think I will tone it down. All the grown up taste buds enjoyed it though...made the night before and reheated it in the crock pot to serve...Yum

Rita's Eggs Strata

Made this for xmas morning...it wasn't savory...it was rather bland and GREASY. I didn't even use all of the cheese suggested in the recipe. Maybe my tastes have changed, but I won't be making this again. Sorry!

Patti's Mussels a la Mariniere

What a bummer! The sauce that got rave reviews was very bland-the parsley looked like spinich in the dish, colored the broth green and added no flavor by the time the mussels were opened-Will not ever use this one again..
