Charline's Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
Confusing recipe rendered an inedible mess. I think the recipe means to call for 4 C. mashed sweet potatoes, not cut up sweet potatoes. Knowing what I know now, I may try again with the correct information.

Slow Cooker Barbeque

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
Very easy, worked perfectly. I used two smaller pieces of beef instead of 1 larger and 1 bottle Jack Daniels BBQ sauce while in crock pot, then got rid of sauce for last hour of cooking after shredding. Will likely make again.

Delicious! I prepared just as the recipe said and it was a big hit with my family. Served in bowls with some vegetables on top. Yummy!

Bahama-Mama Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2006
Delicious, simple. I used the thick pork chops and loved it. The chili sauce ingredient was kind of a mystery so we're experimenting with different things. Going to make it again tonight using Thai chili sauce. Yum!

Orange Chicken Stir Fry

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2006
Delicious! We used low sodium soy sauce, and I'm sure that cut down the salty flavor others have mentioned. Could probably use some other sort of vegetable on the side or mixed in.

Chicken Suiza Cornbread Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2006
Better than expected (especially after checking it out after only 20 minutes in the oven - YIKES! - I then baked it the full 40 minutes). I baked the cornbread first to provide a nice crust. It all turned out a little messy. Next time it could use some punch up on the spicy side. It didn't seem very Mexican, but still yummy!

Green Goddess Chive Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2006
I followed the recipe except that I forgot either the chives or green onions (aren't they the same thing??) and it turned out delicious. The only downside is now my husband wants me to make homemade salad dressing all the time!

Tasty - definitely easy! Used boneless skinless chicken breast and A Taste of Thai brand curry powder. We love curry and will probably make again.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2006
Easy (I used the pre-cut beef strips instead of cutting my own) and tasted OK. I substituted sesame oil for the vegetable oil and used a little extra soy sauce and garlic. Will make again, but I should probably add other vegetables (water chestnuts, etc).

Spritz Cookies II

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2007
Tasty cookies. I used 1/2 c. less flour than the recipe recommended. The dough is difficult to mix but after a few minutes it all "gels". I used my Pampered Chef cookie press and it worked fine. Will probably use recipe again.

Our favorite chicken recipe. A little more prep and cook time, but well worth working it into your schedule.

Really great recipe. We made with organic wild salmon filet. It was a little salty but we forgot to adjust the amount of salt and garlic in the recipe. Yum!

Fruited Curry Chicken Salad

Generally very tasty, but a little bland. Could probably use another flavor but I can't think what would be good.

Carolina Pork Twirl

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
It had a good flavor -we used Kraft red BBQ sauce since we didn't have mustard based sauce, but you have to really want to eat a lot of pork to enjoy it!
