A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2011
It was OK but a little bland. I used Emmeril's Italian Essence in place of the seasoning salt.

Smoky Mountain Café: Corn, Corn and More Corn Casserole!

I thought it was going to be like cordbread, but it was more like a grit cake. Still very yummy, though.

Skip the sauce, the beef is plenty rich without it!

Made for a Thanksgiving day appetizer, served with cut up pita bread. Would make again, delicious and easy.

Made according to the instructions, found it to be too liquidy.

Apple Crumble Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
Delicious! Made exactly as the recipe states, once w/ Honeycrisp and once with Granny Smith. Will make again, probably will need to put tin foil around the edges of the crust to prevent turning too brown.

Carolina Pork Twirl

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
It had a good flavor -we used Kraft red BBQ sauce since we didn't have mustard based sauce, but you have to really want to eat a lot of pork to enjoy it!

Fruited Curry Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2007
Generally very tasty, but a little bland. Could probably use another flavor but I can't think what would be good.

Cedar Plank-Grilled Salmon with Garlic, Lemon and Dill

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2007
Really great recipe. We made with organic wild salmon filet. It was a little salty but we forgot to adjust the amount of salt and garlic in the recipe. Yum!

Spritz Cookies II

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2007
Tasty cookies. I used 1/2 c. less flour than the recipe recommended. The dough is difficult to mix but after a few minutes it all "gels". I used my Pampered Chef cookie press and it worked fine. Will probably use recipe again.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2006
Easy (I used the pre-cut beef strips instead of cutting my own) and tasted OK. I substituted sesame oil for the vegetable oil and used a little extra soy sauce and garlic. Will make again, but I should probably add other vegetables (water chestnuts, etc).

Tasty - definitely easy! Used boneless skinless chicken breast and A Taste of Thai brand curry powder. We love curry and will probably make again.

Green Goddess Chive Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2006
I followed the recipe except that I forgot either the chives or green onions (aren't they the same thing??) and it turned out delicious. The only downside is now my husband wants me to make homemade salad dressing all the time!

Chicken Suiza Cornbread Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2006
Better than expected (especially after checking it out after only 20 minutes in the oven - YIKES! - I then baked it the full 40 minutes). I baked the cornbread first to provide a nice crust. It all turned out a little messy. Next time it could use some punch up on the spicy side. It didn't seem very Mexican, but still yummy!

Orange Chicken Stir Fry

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2006
Delicious! We used low sodium soy sauce, and I'm sure that cut down the salty flavor others have mentioned. Could probably use some other sort of vegetable on the side or mixed in.
