About this Cook
Smart. Beautiful. Talented. Funny. Charming. Modest.
My favorite things to cook
Soup and scones!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love spending Thanksgiving with my family. We all go up to the cottage, one of my aunts makes her amazing pumpkin pie, another makes the best cabbage rolls in the world, and my Dad makes his fantastic maple yams. There's always a huge crowd, a tonne of food, and well, it's at the cottage; my happy place!
My cooking triumphs
I make soup so good it should be illegal.
My cooking tragedies
I can't seem to bake to save my life. But I keep trying!

Sugared Black Raspberry Tea Cookies
Absolutely delicious, if a bit sweet. They definitely want a cup of tea. Next time I'm going to try almond extract and (fewer) white chocolate chips with the raspberry jam. Chopped almonds and chocolate in the well would be great too. They look cute, too. Good for the holidays. Thanks!

Asparagus and Tomato Salad with Yogurt-Cheese Dressing
I made just the yogurt sauce to stir into Leah Perez's "zucchini saute", and it was absolutely delicious. Next time, I'll likely add more mustard, and I'll be sure to use real, freshly grated parmesan. Asiago would be great too!

Chocolate Sauce
It seemed way too thin when it was still warm, but it thickened up nicely onced cooled. (Still, I might use a touch less water next time.) It's been perfect drizzled over brownies, and was a nice treat in my iced coffee this morning. This recipe will satiate my chocolate cravings for years to come. Thanks!
