Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
I love blueberries and I love cream cheese. Two things that go together really well. I used frozen wild blueberries because I always have them in the freezer. This is delicious with or without the nutritional advice.

Baked Spaghetti I

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2012
You just can't go wrong with this. It's easy to make. It's inexpensive. It makes a lot. It's great the next day. You can mess with it if you want, but there really is no need to change a thing. Good stuff, for sure.

Gramma Bertha's Banana Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
I made this for Thanksgiving, because I wanted something different. Very good. Mine was done in a electric roaster, so it took longer than the one hour, but it was certainly worth the wait. Cream cheese frosting worked great. Absolutely will make this again.

Grilled Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
When you cook out in zero degree weather, it better be good....this was. I have never been able to make something as simple as lemon chicken taste very good. I don't even like the brand of dijon I used and it was still very tasty and oh so easy.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
I have made this soup so many times, I can't count. Chicken broth works better for me, but that's just my preference. Mix hot and sweet sausage. Now that cold weather is here, make this, and I defy you to eat just one bowl. Can't be done...gotta go for seconds.

Lemon Icebox Pie III

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
I thought this was pretty good, but you must let it sit longer than two hours. More like two days. It gets better the longer it sits in the refrigerator. Also, use a juicer, just a manual one will do, and use the zest from both lemons. It's not too cheesey, and it's plenty sweet. This is downright refreshing in the heat of the summer.

Easy Fried Spinach

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2008
I love this kind of recipe. You can add bacon, onions, bean sprouts; just all kinds of good things. You can also use canola oil, because it's good for you.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
Oh boy this is good, and just so easy you won't believe it. I have made it using banana pudding mix, and it works really well. Don't make this unless you have cold milk in the refrigerator.

BLT Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
This is better than I expected, but what the heck, it has bacon, I should have known. Do your bacon in the oven, and you will save yourself a big mess. Also, I added some cucumber. I'm telling you, this one is hard to stay out of.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
This is really good. The kind of food you just can't stay out of. I have another spinach recipe that has bacon and bean sprouts, as part of the ingredients. I'll just bet you that would be good in this, too.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
There are so many lasagna recipes, that I have a difficult time calling one the "World's Best". However, this one is very good. The proportions are dead on. I used fresh cheese and a very good parmesan. I also have a 9x12 stainless steel pan I used, and it baked up just to the top, perfectly. You can make some adjustments if you like, but I would try this just as printed, the first time.

Beef Nacho Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2007
This is really pretty good, with some adjustments. Kilty, give it a break, nobody said a thing about it being from Mexico. I used taco seaoning, sour cream, and chili beans. Also, some hot sauce on the side. A cold beer is also a good idea.

Great Pumpkin Dessert

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
Reading some of these reviews, is baffling. I have made this several times, and it is easy and very good. The spice cake is my favorite, but the yellow is also good. A good cup of coffee is a must.

These are pretty good. Better than out of the can, for sure. Add a slice of cheese and you are good to go.

Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2007
I'm a sucker for most casserole dishes, and I really liked this one. I used medium salsa in place of the tomatoes, and added a can of chili beans. The chips don't stay crisp long after it comes out of the oven, but they are a nice crunch when first served. I also added a few shakes of hot taco sauce, because I like it.

This meatloaf recipe is just great. Real comfort food, when served with mashed potatoes. If you make it, don't change a thing.
