Chicken Fried Chicken

I like the flavor of the coating! I do have one suggestion. I tried applying the coating the way the recipe calls for (just dip in egg then coating), and also the way I learned in culinary school (dip in flour, then egg, then coating). The latter method was much better the chicken was crispier and much juicier. I will probably make again - thanks!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Mmmm, very good! I made a few changes to try to make them a bit healthier. I used 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, added some flaxseed, and used butter instead of shortening (just because shortening grosses me out!). I also added more raisins than called for, and added a few chocolate chips. I baked these for 10 minutes on convection at 325. They turned out great!!

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Very tasty, and super easy and quick to make! I had a dinner party to go to tonight, and only around 15 minutes to whip something together, and this was perfect. I didn't have any raspberries, so sifted some powdered sugar on top. Thank you!

Hmmm, tried to bake these on 400 for around 10 minutes. The flavor is pretty good, but probably better overall friend (was dry baked).

Meringue Mushrooms

Oh, I looooove these! So cute and original! I will plan to bring these to a cookie exchange this year - finally something different yet tasty! I made recipe as directed and they were great, though my stems were a bit small - probably needed to whip them until they were a bit thicker. They still turned out adorable! Thanks!

Classic Texas Caviar

Oh my gosh. This is soooo good! I used canned black beans instead of black-eyed, fresh tomatoes, and I added a lot of corn. It was delicious! I made 1/2 batch and it was gone within the hour. Very healthy too. This will be a regular item at our house.

Baby Blue Punch

Yikes! We couldn't find blue drink mix, so we tried purple, and it looked like mud! People at the party were asking "what is that?" I bet the blue would be better, though.

Chicken Piccata II

I made this tonight, and I thought it was excellent! Definitely would make more sauce next time, though. The flavor was great, and I am sure adding wine, mushrooms and/or capers would be good with it too. I didn't have a problem with the coating falling off, but technically you should dip in flour, then egg wash, then the coating for best results (I am in culinary school - this is a basic). I will make again because this was good and very simple!

Chocolate Pecan Pie III

Delicious! I have to say I didn't follow the recipe totally, though. I only had dark corn syrup, and I only used 3/4 cups. I used chocolate chips instead of cocoa and I used a LOT. I had to cook it longer than stated, but it was delicious! This pie has a lot of sugar/corn syrup in proportion to the amount of pecans, though!

This is very good! The cookies turned out perfectly. I used butter, cut the cloves to 1/2 t, and baked for around 6 minutes. The dough didn't smell good (the molasses smells gross), and I didn't think I would like the cookies, but they are great. The dough consistency was really crumbly - I thought I did something wrong - but when I rolled it out it was fine. They are very soft and taste great.

Fabulous Homemade Bread

Mmmmm, this bread is so good!! I changed it up a bit by adding a lot more whole wheat flour in place of the bread flower. Delicious and easy! Will definitely make again!

Hmmm, I am an experienced baker and I have made this cake in years past, but this did not turn out for me. The cake was very thin and ripped and could not be used. Not sure what I did wrong - I followed the recipe exactly.

Apple Crisp IV

Sensational Strawberry Shortcake

I really liked this. It makes a neat presentation. The meringue on top adds a nice touch too. The cake itself was a bit crumbly, but I don't mind that with strawberry shortcake. I will definitely make it again!
