Gumbo Style Chicken Creole

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2012
Excellent!! I will be making this alot! It wasn't too spicy for my 7 year old and she really liked it too! I took the advice of others and added a can of chicken broth, omitted the mushrooms (for my taste), used 2 cans of tomatoes with green chiles, chose to use a red pepper, added some Thyme and smoked sausage and served over rice. So so good and easy! Thanks for the great recipe!

Orange Dream Punch

I made this for a baby shower yesterday and it was very good! I used orange sherbert and vanilla ice cream like another person had said. Everybody liked it and mine was really good with a little vodka in it! :)

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
I thought this was very good and easy! I didn't have any cream of mushroom, so I used cream of chicken. I didn't want ham, so I just left that out. I also added some more cheese and used the 1 can of milk instead of water, like others did and it came out great! I cooked them on low for about 5 hours. I will definitely make this again! Thanks!

I didn't change a thing on this recipe and it turned out delicious. So easy! Next times I make it, I will mess around with the spices/rubs. Thanks for the recipe!

Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
I made this for the first time on St. Patrick's Day and it turned out great! I went ahead and put the brisket in first then all the vegetables ending up w/the cabbage on top. My hubby actually compared it to what his Irish Grandma used to make! :) Thanks for the recipe!

Slow Cooker Dump and Go Cheesy Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
Love it! I took some others advice and (since I only made 3 chick breasts) just put in 1 can of cheddar and 1 crm of chicken + a little milk, salt and pepper of course. Also, minced 2 garlic cloves (someone said 1 may not be enough and we love garlic). It was perfect! I cooked on high for 5 hours since I was running out of time. Oh, I also put them in the crock frozen. I didn't have high hopes for this recipe since our family likes things a bit more interesting (I thought). But this was sooooo worth it and it will be in our rotation! The flavor and smell was amazing for the small amount of ingredients that was in it. Thanks for the great recipe!

Authentic Mexican Breakfast Tacos

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
Great recipe! I already had some mexi shredded chicken on hand, so I used that instead of chorizo. I can't wait to try that with it. Very tasty! I'm always looking for good, easy breakfasts and this fits the bill! Thanks!

French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
Very, very good!! I followed the recipe as stated, but took others advice and only used half of the soy sauce. Next time I may put it all in, though. I had 2.5 lb of meat and (after browning it) cooked it on high for 6 hours. I just had to get the bread and provolone cheese at the store. Since they were just regular hoagie buns, I put the sandwiches together and toasted just a few minutes in oven before serving. Awesome! Husband raved about them! This will be an often used recipe! Thanks!

Mexican Style Shredded Pork

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
Very, very good! This is a keeper! I stuck to the recipe as much as possible. I only had 1/2 of the pork needed, but used the same amount of other ingredients and it turned out great! Served it over the rice along with fried flour tortilla strips. While it was cooking, I thought it might be a little too spicy for my 4 year old, but after trying it, she loved it. My husband ate way too much! It is in my recipe box! Thanks for a good one!

Bacon Tater Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
I'm going to go ahead and give this 5 stars because I didn't follow it exactly and this recipe isn't getting the kudos it deserves. With the changes I made it was definately a 5. In the mix, I added some garlic powder, seasoned salt, pepper, and minced onion (hubby frowns on too much onion). I didn't have much time, so I used bacon bits (which stayed crisp). And took the advice of others who put cheese on top in the last 15 minutes. It was really good and got rave reviews from company. This is a great recipe where you can add pretty much anything to your liking. I will remember this and make it often! Thanks for a good and easy recipe!!!

Barbeque Beef Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
Very, very good recipe! My 3 yr. old and husband loved it, too. I loved the BBQ sauce in it. I was hesitant since I only had spicy, but with the sweetness of the cornbread, it was just right. To cut down the recipe, I used 1.3 lb of beef, half the corn, 1 can of tomatoes undrained. I took the advice of others and drained the meat before adding veggies/bbq, added a clove of garlic and kidney beans. I really liked the addition of those. I also used 2 boxes of cornbread. Next time I may use 1 1/2. This tasted soooo good on a cold, windy day!! We will definitely have it again! Thanks!

Easy White Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
Very, very good! I took the advice of another person and blended 2 cans of the beans. I also put only 1 can of chiles in just in case it was too spicy for my 3 year old. It wasn't and next time I'll do that for her in a separate pan, so my husband and I can make it good and spicy (maybe add some diced jalapenos). Oh, and I only used 3 shredded chicken breasts. This is a keeper!! Thanks!

Egg Breakfast Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
This was very good! I only had cream of chicken and was a little unsure about it, but it came out really good. I just made one sausage pizza using pizza dough from my breadmaker, omitted green pepper and onion, just because I didn't have it and just didn't need to cook it for the whole recommended time. I really liked the idea of turning over the crust after baking for 6 min. It turned out crispier than my pizzas normally do. Very good recipe, we will make it again! Thanks!

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2007
Very good recipe! I just made it today for the first time and my husband and three year old loved it, too. I took others advice and used two bouillon cubes instead of three and cut the (Idaho) potatoes really thin and used less onion (just because of my husband). I also added some carrots. Because of that, I cooked it a little longer but the potatoes were done on time. My husband said he's going to tell his Mom about this! We will definately be fixing this again. Thanks!

Zucchini Herb Casserole

My family loved this recipe! We had it with burgers and it's awesome. I will definately make this again. I don't think I used quite all the cheese it called for and next time I may use a little more rice. Everything else I did exactly as written and got rave reviews! Thanks for a good recipe!

Tex-Mex Burger with Cajun Mayo

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2007
Awesome!!! We will definately have them again! I actually used ground turkey (just because we had it and flavors really mix in well with that meat it seems) and colby/monterey jack cheese because it was on hand. I highly recommend these burgers! Thanks!
