Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
Good easy reciepe. The water/flour is a bit off as mentioned before. As the machines goes into the knead phase, look at the dough and make sure it is in a round ball if not add more flour or water depending on what you have. I also "pre-soak" my yeast, (a habbit from the brewing days) I put the yeast and the water with a littie sugar togeather first, for about 20 mins while I gather and mix the other ingreadants... I think it makes it fluffier.

Slow Cooker Thai Peanut Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
The peanut sauce was a bit thin, I should have thickened it up some, but it was a great flavor...

Garlic Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
Oh.. wonderfull.. This was dripping with butter, but for somethings you do not need to know the fat content. I thought the cooking time could have been longer, the pieces I pulled out early were tough, I think 375 or 400 for 40 mins should do it.

Cinnamon Raisin Bread II

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
I minded the advice and added an extra cup of flour and made it about two tablespoons of cinnamon. I also prefer to soak the raisins, which was not mentioned here you can soak them in water (I prefer rum). I also did not have a room temprature egg, so I warmed up the milk a bit in the microwave and hoped they balanced the temprature out... turned out great, bit hit with the fans.

Cinnamon Apple Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
Well they are eating them. I always have trouble with wheat flour,so I made it white, and I swiched the honey for Brn Sugar. I also used and apple and a half.. i kept the 1/2 for garnished. I should have cut down on the milk byabout 1/4 cup.. otherwise the reciepe is sound, I just had more apples to cook.

Little Meat Loaves

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
Wow that was great, here are the changes that I made: - I made them in the disposible tins, to have the fat drain (great idea) - I used caned tomato sauce instead of the ketsup, and cut the brown sugar in half. My wife said "this was the best ever".. but don't tell her mother..

Chuckwagon Stew

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2006
Wowwee that was good.. but to be fair, I only used this recipe as a "guideline". First of all I browned the beef (not the sausage), then, I did not have BBQ beans, so I used baked and BBQ sauce ( I love it when I can use 1/2 open containers), then I found out we were out of potatoes, so I used 1/2 a bag of frozen french fries... MAN THAT WAS GOOD! It was a slusshy texture and both the wife and kids thought that "Dad messed up again" until they ate it... wonderfull. I can't wait until I make the recepie the way it was writen up....

Sassy Sausage and Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2006
Wow, this was a good soup. I was looking for a recipe to get rid of leftovers.. saussage and salsa... who would have thought this would be so great. I am buying more saussage to make this recipe now. I did not have the celantro, but I did have fresh dill, that was great too. My wife liked it with sour cream on top.

Chicken Something

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2006
This was EXCELLENT, however, I made 4 changes: 1) I used Basmati rice (all I had) 2) I used low fat soup (1/2cup of butter made me feel guilty) 3) I put a sprig of tarragon on each breast 4) I turned the breasts over a few time to get the soaked in the butter. This was really great and easy. I think next time I will try to cut the butter by 50% and replace with milk; it was pretty rich as it stands. If you don't like tarragon, try another fresh spice. The rice came out fine, perhaps the other people did not pre-heat the oven, or seal the foil..? (just an idea)

Yummy Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 14, 2006
The quick-easy factor on this is HUGE. This is tasty and really quick. I agree with the other reviews, that the time is somewhere between 15 and 20 min. I would also use a frying pan that is only a little bigger then the size of your chops, I pulled out my big pan without thinking and the chops were not completely covered in the sauce. I also used lite dressing and soy... still yummy!

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2006
I didn't have a whole chicken lieing around so I used breasts and (tried to) take the skin off ( that was a bear, no wonder the charge more for skinless), any way the flavor was GREAT, however some of my breasts were above the liquid, so were sort of bland.

Good, I added Garlic and that helped. The liquid was a bit too low with the potatos on the bottom.
