Awesome Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2015
These are very good. I added a tbl of fresh ginger. I fried some and baked some at 400 for 30 minutes and I didn't like the baked ones at all. I had the wrappers sitting out while I prepared everything and some dried up. Next time I will keep in the refrigerator. If you have never made egg rolls, do yourself a favor and watch a few quick You Tube videos on wrapping.

Lemon Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2015
Just OK. The cake is not very lemony. We didn't care for the whipped icing. We prefer lemon buttercream. Won't make again.

Creamy White Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2015
We really like it. It's rich with the sour cram and cream. Will add a little less broth next time. It had more of a soup consistency.

Heavenly Halibut

This is delicious. I doubled the sauce and piled it on. This is still terrific as a leftover.

Avocado Baked Eggs

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2015
Thought it would taste better. You need to cook for 30 minutes if you don't want runny eggs.

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2015
This is delicious. I made as written but with a tsp of dried parsley. Next time I will probably use 2 tbl of oil instead. There was a lot left in the foil. It wasn't too salty for us as others wrote. I would not add more lemon because I like the basil favor on this. I baked for 45 minutes and it was terrific.

Grandmother's Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2015
I did not have much luck with this recipe and I made sure to mix the butter and sugar a lot and in between each egg. Mine turned out dense. I only cooked for 50 minutes and maybe could have cooked less.

"Best Overall - Darn Good Chilli"

This is very good. I really like the mix of beans and chunky beef. Next time I will half the chili powder. Just a little hot for me.

Fried Cabbage with Bacon, Onion, and Garlic

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2015
I have made this twice. The first time it was way too salty with 1tbl of salt. Second time I used 1 tsp and it tasted good. I added one more piece of bacon because my cabbage head was very large and that was ideal.

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2014
This cake is delicious and super moist. Next time I will start with 2.5 cups of sugar for the icing and taste. The icing was a little too sweet for us and I will only put a thin layer of icing on the cake. This cake is so good, that it doesn't need a lot. 4 medium bananas equaled 1.5 cups for me. I cooked it for 80 minutes in a metal pan. Will definitely make again.

Pork Marsala

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2014
Very good. I used thick pork chops and cut in half. The sauce was a little two thin so I added a little flour at the end to thicken. Next time I will add sooner. I only needed to cook for 10 minutes.

Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2014
This dish is delicious and easy. I made almost exact but with fresh spinach (10oz bag). If you use fresh, remove the stems. I agree with another reviewer that using hot sausage is important for flavor. I didn't start cooking the whole wheat rotini until all but the spinach was cooking. I added the spinach, mixed until wilted and then added the pasta. So good. I made again and wanted leftovers so I used 1.5 lbs sausage, 1lb pasta and extra chicken stock.

Baked BBQ Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2014
I did as others suggested and removed the white membrane off the back. We don't like our ribs too spicy/hot, so I left out the peppers and added garlic powder. I cooked for a total of 3.5 hours, because we like falling off the bone ribs. These are delicious.

London Broil II

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2014
I grilled med-high for 8 min on each side. Turned out med to medium rare depending on the thickness. I added 1/2 lemon to marinate because the reviews made me nervous that it would be tough. The steak marinated for 24 hrs and it is tender and very good. This is very flavorful but not strong. Will make again.

Grilled Chicken with Rosemary and Bacon

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2014
These are really flavorful. I wouldn't change a thing. My chicken breast were pretty big, so I pounded them so they were thinner and easier to roll. I used three pieces of bacon and 4 toothpicks each.

Grilled Shrimp Scampi

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2014
I took others advice and used 1/2 butter for the oil, less lemon juice and some chardonnay. I used 1.5 tbl of dried parley. Served over Caesar salad and ate leftovers cold. Really delicious.
