Butter Cookies IV

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2006
This is a great recipe for the novice. First one I tried off this site (or ANY site for that matter) and it worked like a champ!

Italian Style Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2006
And thats without the cheese. I inadvertantly forgot to mix in the cheese but fortunately got all the other spices and ingrediants called for and it was still restaurant-quality, first class. Great church meal

Creamy Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2006
Ideal beginners cheesecake. Made a crust of 2cps crushed graham crackers, ½cp brn sugar, ½cp butter and a tsp. of cinnamon and that added a touch of heaven to an already good recipe. Great starting point for other flavors.

Cheddar Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
I've tried now about 4 different breading styles and to date, this one's the best. Tastes a little like KFC (I think they use cornflakes instead of rice crispies though.)I also used Mexican four-cheese in place of the cheddar. The chicken was baked on a pie cooling rack over a pizza pan and basted in butter every 5 minutes

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2006
Great taste for the ease of its preparation. Great church pot-luck meal. I put the required cheese IN the saucepan instead of on the finished product. The result makes a seven-layer burrito sallow by comparison.

Bagels II

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2006
Ann, you must be Jewish! I'm a rank-Yank from New Jersey who worked in a high-volume (350+dozen/morning) Jewish Bagel shop. Of the three or so bagel recipes I found, this recipe most closely matches the shop's. It is a fine home-sized adaptaion of the large-scale operation I worked in. I think the recipe is fine, it brought back a lot of memories. It's a good base from which to start using condiments. The only criticism is that the dough could probably use a little more salt (but a salt-topping could easliy fix that).

Favorite Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2006
I'm a novice Baker who enjoys making deserts and breads. The thing I noticed was they had a good texture, and maintained it even when slightly over-cooked. For a festive flavor try adding some cinnamon.
