This is a great, simple recipe that you can add to or modify according to your tastes. I loved that I could throw it all in together and let it cook all day. I was a bit leery that the beef would turn out dry but it was very tender and moist - I cut up a blade steak which may have had more marbled fat than the usual stewing beef. I added more celery as I like it, and shook up the flour with the broth and 1T Worchestershire, otherwise I stuck to the recipe, stirring every couple of hours. Even my husband, who usually grumbles if I make stew loved this.
