About this Cook
Married, mom of 2, under 6yrs. Not fond of cooking so anything easy is on my menu. Like to scrapbook, and make hair bows/infant headbands in my spare time.
My favorite things to cook
Anything in the crockpot. I make an awesome roast in the crockpot. Anything that does not involve alot of prep or time to make.
My favorite family cooking traditions
none really, the kids are little so I tend to not want them in the kitchen under foot
My cooking triumphs
Anything that is not burnt and tastes good
My cooking tragedies
I cannot cook noodles or pasta worth a darn.

Buffalo Chicken Dip
I made this for a Christmas party a few weeks ago and it was a HIT!!! I first made it exactly the way the recipe calls for [ mixing it all in and putting in crockpot], and the result was visually UNAPPETIZING. Instead of throwing it out, i left it on warm in crockpot and remade another batch, layering it like someone else suggested. This time it was 100% better looking and people were RAVING about it. I ended up putting the crockpot full out after the 9x13 pan was gone of it. People still ate it but were super skeptical of its appearance. I HIGHLY suggest going with the layering method over the mix it all together. People definately judge food by its appearance, regardless of what it may taste like.

Never Fail Meatloaf
I made this recipe almost exactly like it says, minus the brown sugar and bbq sauce on top. I used ketchup only and it came out FABULOUS!!!!! I am not a meatloaf eater at all but will eat this. People think I am nuts when i tell them I use stuffing mix in it instead of bread or crackers, TILL THEY TRY IT then they beg for recipe.
