Chicken and Red Wine Sauce

I found this recipe to be very delicious and took the advice of others to use 1/2 wine, 1/2 chicken broth. Made it just right. I also cut back on the brown sugar ( 1/2 cup) and rubbed the chicken with the paprika and some seasoned salt and pepper and put it in fridge until I was ready to cook. I also used 1 cup of sliced sweet onions and browned them and the garlic in olive oil and removed them until the chicken was browned then added them back with the wine and the broth and brown sugar. 1/2 cup of sugar is plenty and for some maybe a tad less would work. I added the cornstarch just before serving and that worked well too. Hubby loved the whole dish. Served with rice and think next time will try mashed potatoes. Deeeelish.....

Todd's Famous Blueberry Pancakes

Just made these pancakes and they are wonderful. I took the advice of other reviews and added more sugar (2.5 TBL) 1 cup blueberries, and tsp vanilla. Best I have ever eaten, even at the best restaurants. They came out perfect. The only reason I think the recipe calls for you to wait 1 hr is to give the frozen blueberries a chance to get soft. Remedy...use fresh or put frozen in micro for just a few to thaw. Works well. Make right away, that is what I did.

Herbed Chicken and Fettuccini

I gave this two stars for the idea. I looked at the ingredients that go together and wondered if it was going to be good. After making this, I tasted it and knew my DH would not like it as cooked. I will stick with my tried and true Alfredo I usually make.

Limpa Bread

I've tried other recipes here and this is the best of the best. Makes for a very yummy whole grain type bread with everything you need for nutrition not to mention a great taste. Takes a little time, but its worth it.Made it with as is ingredients, I like the whole wheat instead of rye.

Chocolate Cake II

I dare not make anything different for my hubby. Best chocolate cake ever. Very moist and don't let the thinnest of the batter fool you. That makes it the best. I like to use just a vanilla frosting on it as that is what DH likes. Its hard not to eat this if you are dieting. The best ever.

Light Oat Bread

This is the first bread machine recipe that turned out exactly perfect and very good tasting. I used Canola oil instead of margarine as I didn't have stick margarine. Just as good. About as good as it can get. Healthy too.

Pizza Soup II

This is exactly what I was looking for. Tweeked it a little. Added green and red peppers, used pizza seasoning, garlic and onion diced canned tomatoes, the parmesean is critical and mozzeralla when served. Added 2 tsp jarred garlic and used 6 cups of water for a larger serving amount and adjusted the amounts for the rest of the receipe. Also added pre cooked penne pasta in the end. It was so good I made two pots back to back as my husband and I couldn't get enough. I Served with breadsticks or Italian bread is a hearty meal I will definately be making all winter. I am also giving samples to my friends and the receipe upon request.

Easy Banana Bread

Made this and it was awesome. I added 1 tsp baking powder and cut the sugar by 1/2 cup. I'm going to try and use Splenda for my sugar free friends. My picky husband who never eats this sort of thing even liked it and couldn't keep him away from them. I made muffins too and the baking time was only 30 minutes. Five star receipe.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

This was wonderful from the very first bowl to the last. I didn't have the taco seasoning on hand but did have fajita packet seasoning and used that instead. Was that ever good. Try substituting that for the taco seasoning and see the wonderful flavor you get with that. Wow!! Easy and quick this receipe is!!!
