Unbeatable Pecan Pie

I have this recipe and I won 2nd place at the county fair. It is the best I have ever had. Always requested. For a nice presentation I take whole pecans and line it around the edge of the pie pan. I also only use a quiche dish for this one and it looks great, no crust edge to worry about!

Simple Macaroni Salad

This is closer to my macaroni salad and I like it better without bellpepper. Use a bag of salad macaroni instead of regular macaroni. Chop about a cup of celery and about 3 to 4 green onions, add about 2 tab of pimento,small can of sliced olives and and 3 small chopped gerkins. Mix with a couple of tab of lemon juice, olive oil and a little bit of dill pickle juice. Add salt and pepper and cover and chill for a couple of hours and make sure to chill your macaroni as well. Later mix enough mayo to coat your macaroni and drain a bit of the juices from your mix and add to the macaroni and mix well. Add about 5 chopped boiled eggs and mix well and sprinkle some paprika on top and wala! You have a great macaroni salad!

Wine and Garlic Pork (Portuguese Vina Dosh)

OH my God, this is wonderful! My husband's family is from the Azores, Terceira to be specific, and settled in Tulare, Hanford area. His father would use Vina Dosh marinade for rabbit and chicken. Unfortunately he passed away and so did the recipe. When I tried this and my husband ate it, he was so happy. He said it is as close as I could possibly get, I am sure a different wine would make a different taste, but this is the real deal. THANK YOU SO MUCH CALI-CHEF. Sugar Cookie Glaze

It was the shiniest glaze I have ever found. Made a beautiful glaze for my sugar cookies. I found that less water made it perfect. I also found I didn't need to use a spatula, I just dipped the cookie upside-down and twisted. I am not sure if you need to let these air dry or freeze. I froze them to try and get them to set quicker. They stacked better than any other glaze/icing I have used but still got smudges. Any suggestions? I am still experimenting.

Easy Sugar Cookies

These are actually very good cookies. I have made them twice and the flavor is good. What is surprising is everytime I make them, the dough is crumbly. I have to add just a bit of milk. From now on, if I use strictly butter I will add another egg. If I do half/half butter-crisco, it will probably be okay. If you find that you too, have crumbly dough, try some milk. I think an extra egg was left out of the initial ingredients. You don't want to add egg at the end though.

Espiros Dois (II)

Thank you for the recipe very much! I just wanted to also stick up for you. Vovo also means grandma Espiros also mean meringue which anyone could sigh over. Brazillian portuguese is not the same as the Azores, Central CA or Portugal.

This is great! My family loves it! It is quick and easy. I try to buy the lower sodium soup whenever on sale. I also like to toss my cooked chicken strips in taco seasoning for an extra kick before adding it to the soup mixture. Thanks for sharing!

Made it many times and my family loves it. I can't find transfat specifically in the crescent rolls or in chili cheese fritos. Everything has fat in it if it isn't an alfafa sprout, I swear! I agree with the others, no nutrition police, thank you!
