Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2011
It is excellent. I followed the recipe exactly except I added another half cup of peanuts. I made it again and replaced the peanuts with 1 1/2 cups of roasted sunflower seeds. It also came out very good. My husband liked it better than the peanuts.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
This is one of my favorite cookie recipes. Sadly, a year ago I discovered that I could no longer have gluten. Today, I made these cookies with quinoa flour for a GLUTEN FREE version and they came out AWESOME. Chewy, chocolatey, with a nutty flavor. Most gluten free cookies taste horrible. Just substitute the same amount of quinoa flour for the white flour, they are excellent.

Chocolate Covered Easter Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2010
These came out great. I didn't make them into eggs. I just made balls and decorated them. I made chocolate, raspberry, orange, and peppermint. It is a keeper. Thanks for the recipe.

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

These are awesome cookies! The only thing that I changed was that I used a tablespoon of a really strong vanilla. (Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla) My kids love them.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
I used this recipe this morning and made 24 regular sized muffins with it. I baked them for 25 minutes and they came out excellent. I did what many others did and put more spice in it. I doubled most of the spices. My boys ate theirs and both liked them and I am enjoying one with a cup of cinnamon coffee. Thanks for the recipe.

Whole Wheat Chocolate Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
I just made this and my 3 year old are eating a muffin. Muffins were completely done after 25 minutes. I would have given it a three because while they are pretty good, I am not crazy about them. However, my three year old just piped up to say, "I like these black muffins." So, he bumped it up a star. lol I would try it again and maybe add a little less nutmeg.

These are AWESOME! I am trying to control myself. These are nice and chewy, not cakey. I used butter instead of shortening but otherwise I followed the recipe. I thank you.....my waistline does not.

Lemon Sugar Tea Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
These are AWESOME. I didn't have any lemon extract though so I used raspberry extract. I substituted honey for the corn syrup too. Thank your for this recipe. It is definately going in my recipe box. Really you could use any extract in these cookies. I was thinking that orange would be good too. I just realized that I screwed up the recipe! I put BOTH cups of sugar in the dough and they still came out wonderful. lol

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
This is a really good recipe. I have used it several times. I actually used it to make my kids a great breakfast treat this past weekend. I omitted the salt and added a tablespoon of cinnamon. I sliced some apples and softened them in the microwave with some more cinnamon and then layed them out on the crust. Then I made a crumb topping of butter and brown sugar and crumbled it all over the top. We had apple cinnamon crumb pizza and it was very good. Be sure to bake it on a cookie sheet with sides or a deep dish pizza pan in case the apple juice runs.

Forgotten Party Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
These have always been my favorite cookies. My mom made them every Christmas. She used peppermint extract and added mini chocolate chips to them. I always add the chips and ocassionally use orange or raspberry extract but love mint the best.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
This is a great recipe. They come out nice and crispy if you bake them a little longer. Perfect for dunking. I have made them three times. The first time I followed the recipe exactly and they were very good, the second time I added 1 cup semi sweet chips, 1 cup white chocolate chips, and 1 cup of dried cranberries. The last time I used dried blueberries and white chocolate chips.

Coffee Chip Cookies

These were good. I only made half of the recipe because I only had 2 cups of chips. I used white chocolate instead of regular chocolate. They are a really soft cookie.

Slow Cooker Pizza

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2005
I didn't care for this recipe. It was far too greasy for my taste. My 18 and 2 year old sons liked it though. I think I would use something other than pepperoni if I tried it again. Maybe mushrooms or onions.
