Mamon (Sponge Cakes)

I wish I could have given this recipe 10 stars...WOW! I followed the advice of another reader, and substituted the regular flour for cake flour, but added another 3 minutes to the baking time. ( Make sure you don't over bake them.)I made only half of this recipe, and got 3 1/2 dozen regular size cupcakes. Sooooo easy to put together, and the flavor is out-of-this world. I will make these over and over again. Thanks for sharing with us. You made my day!!!!

Italian Herb Bread I

WOW!!This was really good, full of flavors,easy to make, and inexpensive. I wanted to have pizza for dinner, but don't like the commercial type. This was it! My whole house smelled like a pizzeria. Thanks, Ann, for sharing with us. ( Que receta deliciosa!! Yo queria cenar pizza, pero no me gustan las pizzas comerciales. Pense que la receta conllevaba mucho trabajo, pero aun asi el hambre me convencio, y la prepare. Toda mi casa tenia el aroma de una pizzeria. Creo que la proxima vez voy a preparer "breadsticks." Gracias, Ann, por compartir con nosotros esta receta. Yum!!)

Peach Crisp III

Deliciosa, y sumamente facil de preparar. Lo que mas me gusto es que no es super-dulce. En esta receta, Ud. va a poder disfrutar de la dulzura natural de la fruta. Yo no tenia granola a mano, asi que le puse mas avena. Use las especias a mi gusto, y use "pecans". Use la fruta congelada ("frozen peaches without sugar") Yo le daria 10 estrellas!!! Me fascino.

Chef John's Fried Sweet Plantains

Thank You, Thank You, and Thanks again, Chef John for sharing this recipe with us. I grew up ( and still do!) eating these for breakfast along with fried eggs - sunny side-up...delish! Chef Wilo Bennett, owner of Pikayo Restaurant in San Juan, Puerto Rico has a video (still available!!) of "piononos" which is the most popular way to use sweet plantains in P.R. So easy to make! Thanks for sharing with the readers one of the best things we offer in Latin America: Our food!

Quick Banana Milkshake (Ice Cream Free)

Que deliciosa!! Me encanto..super facil de preparar y los ingredientes son sencillos y baratos. No se necesita anadir el helado, que fue una cosa que nos encanto, porque no queriamos las calorias extras. Fue suficiente para nosotras dos ( mi hija la compartio conmigo,) y sobro un poco mas. Al final decidi anadirle una media cucharadita de mantequilla de mani, y me gusto aun mas. Esta receta la vamos a incluir en nuestro menu de desayunos para este (2013) verano. Thanks..it was awesome. Will do it again, and again.

Feta Cheese Foldovers

Thanks to Carolina Chick's recommendations, I had one of the best appetizers, ever! I used phyllo, just like she said, but the sheets, not the shells. A bit challenging, but the results...worth it. Just follow the directions on the phyllo box. Now keep in mind that you need to take the phyllo out-of-the-fridge with at least 2 hours in advance.this a restaurant /catering quality appetizer. I will make it again! Thanks Christine L. For a wonderful recipe.

Que deliciousa me quedaron estas chuletas...le daria 10 estrellas si pudiera. Everyone raved about the taste, especially the sauce. I agree with another review that this is good anytime during the week. Muchas gracias por compartir con nosotros!

Que delicioso!! Me encanto!! Es facil de preparar, bien liviano al estomago, y tiene muy buen sabor. I did it for a 3 year old's birthday, and everyone loved it!! The mother of the child is a vegetarian, and asked me not to say anything about the type of cake I was making for this birhtday,and it was a hit! Lo volvere a preparar otra vez!!
