Teaching the basics to my family, start with simple and get bold. Always when adding flavors you never have worked with, add SMALL amounts as you can add more but can't take any out, TASTE TASTE TASTE, I have lived off my tasting spoon while in the kitchen.

My cooking tragedies
Chocolate Lava cakes, I usually make extra as each oven has different hot spots that cook some too long, the matter of 10-30 seconds cooking can ruin one.
