Southern Fried Cabbage

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
Made this twice. The first time exactly as written, the second time, I omitted the oil and doubled the bacon, just using the bacon grease to cook the cabbage in. It's so much better this way. Oh, and a tablespoon of sugar instead of a pinch. So good...

Slow Cooker Tender and Yummy Round Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
I make this often but with 2 changes. I only add about 1/4 cup of water, and I use Golden Mushroom soup instead of the regular for better color and flavor.

No Time to Cook Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
A little bland as is. The second time around, I added seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, a little pepper, and 1/2 packet of onion soup mix. Served over rice with peas and biscuits. Very easy to make and pretty good with the added spices. I'll definitely make it again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
This turned out very watery for me. Maybe I should've used only 1/2 can of chicken broth. It's got a decent taste, though. I used a can each of cream of chicken and cream of celery. I also added halved baby carrots and chopped celery. I'll probably try it again sometime with less broth.

Ham Potato Scallop

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
This was pretty good, although I modified it a bit. I added broccoli (not frozen but not completely cooked)instead of green beans. Hubby said it was good and very filling. I'll make it again.
