Blueberry Scones

simple, quick and delicious. I followed the recipe exactly (cold butter which may help it not be messy?) it was neither messy nor impossible to cut. Shaped and cut easily. I'm confused by those who were unsuccessful. I'll use this over and over again...great and I imagine able to adapt to other flavors instead of blueberries.

Red Lentil Curry

I cooked 2 C of lentils but thought it was too much-that I'd lose the great flavor-so I cut the lentil measure in 1/2. I accidentally forgot the sugar and salt (shoot) and used diced tomatoes instead of puree, but other than that did it as written. Next time I will try to remember to heat the spice in oil the way a reviewer mentioned (the way I saw it done in India) This dish is so aromatic and yummy. Served mine w/ basmati rice w/ frozen mixed veggies. Don't mix it too much into the rice though, you will lose the yummy flavor-serve it more side by side. HyVee carries the curry paste in my area. If you Google curry paste, you can find a store in your area that carries it. Worth getting!

wow! this was amazing and simple. I used chicken (you know those huge breasts...I sliced them in half so they were thinner). Simply yummy. rated it 4 since I used chicken.

These are pretty good and my family likes them. I added more spices (cloves, nutmeg, more cinnamon) They are a little dense for my taste. Great standard recipe for frosting though.

yummy. I used 4 very ripe bananas, I used whole wheat flour. Added some cinnamon and cardamom in the batter and pearl sugar to the top before baking.

Five Minute Ice Cream

I've made this twice now, both times w/ 1/2 and 1/2. I can't wait to try the yogurt/lower fat versions. It was a great last minute new dessert for supper but really only one of my children will get it out of the freezer to eat the leftovers. Second time I didn't food process the fruit long enough and there were chunks which was not as appealing. The fruit was also more frozen the second time (since it hadn't just come from the trip out of the grocery store) and the ice cream was thicker because of it. fast, fun recipe

Pork with Peach and Black Bean Salsa

Finally something new to our family that was liked. It's impossible to wreck pork tenderloin so that's a given, but the rest of the recipe was great. I cooked it longer only because my other food wasn't ready and forgot to plan for rice. It worked out because more of the liquid was cooked off in the extra time. This is my husband's kind of food-black bean salsa,etc (that's why I chose the recipe) but everyone else liked it too. keeper

Best Formula Three-Cheese Fondue

have not tried the recipe as written, only as reviewed (like everyone else) Warming wine, adding shredded cheese worked great. I used two kinds of Swiss and a med cheddar.

Honey Wheat Bread I

This has become our family's bread. When everyone is home I find I need to make a recipe every other day. I sub in up to 2 C oat bran flour for the white bread flour. This recipe is so forgiving. Even when I let it rise too long or not long enough, it comes out less than perfect but certainly still tasty. It is such an easy recipe my college daughter makes it often at school.
