Butter Chickpea Curry

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
I have just started experimenting with different curry recipes, this was nice and easy, not overpowering, my 11 year old loved it. I used my Costco can of tomato soup which is a 15 oz can and added a large chicken breast that was already diced and cooked, came out great.

Grilled Halibut with Cilantro Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2011
Loved it! Added just a smidge of white wine and maybe a tablespoon more butter because of that addition. First thing my husband said was "this is a keeper".....

Pan Fried Swiss Chard

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
Made this to the recipe...it was ok but wasn't that impressed...I like chard and greens but would use a different recipe before this one....nothing specific, it just didn't do it for us...

Bacon Feta Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
These came out yummy! I did use fresh, cooked in my electric steamer for about 16 minutes and just let air dry while I was making the rest of dinner and then followed the recipe.

Chicago-Style Pan Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
Was is Chicago a few months ago and loved my pizza from Giordano's so I was happy to see if this was close. Made according to directions, checked after 25 minutes, turned oven up to 375 at that point and cooked another 7 minutes, crust was perfect...used one can of diced tomatoes and one can of fire roasted tomatoes, next time I will add some chopped peppers, really liked the flavors.

Broccoli and Cheese Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
Made according to directions. May family has long been a fan of stuffed shells and were generally pleased with these, although they did mention they like the sauce with the meat better (I usually add browned italian sausage to my red sauce, but then again I usually make my own and for this recipe I did use Paul Newman's Marinara sauce)...I'll make again and just use my own sauce next time...

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
While I don't eat salmon myself, my husband and our guests all loved this...I did add a smidge more brown sugar than called for - when tasting the marinade before I added the fish I just thought it could be a little sweeter...

Lasagna Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2012
Had this with a salad and corn on the cob - the soup was easy to make, not fussy ingredients. The flavors really do mimic lasagna. The cheesey yum is fantastic in it. My family of four all gave it a thumbs up. The pasta did soak up most of the soup liquid by the time it cooled down and I was putting the left overs away, but I figure I'm just going to put the leftovers in a casserole dish dotted with a little of the cheesey yum, maybe throw a little mozzarella on it at the end.

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2012
My husband thought these were fantastic. I actually got the premade graham cracker crusts in tartlet size...this recipe was enough for 12 of them - put them on a baking sheet, baked for 23 minutes and then topped with homemade whipping cream sprinkled with a little sugared lime zest (zested 2 limes into a bowl and mixed with a couple teaspoons of sugar and a quick squirt of a fresh lime wedge)

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2012
I'll make them again, but I think next time I would turn the oven down and cook longer, or maybe do in the crock pot as the beans were still a little firm, I like them a bit softer to chew. Also might add a touch of vinager to them next time. Husband loved them though.
