Cream Cheese and Crab Sushi Rolls

I HATE fish so I make this kind all the time! We LOVE sushi in this house but dont like paying .50-1.00 a slice (especially since it costs about that much per ROLL to make it at home!) I dont add cucumber (uck) and use regular sticky rice since its what we eat normally (we buy 50 lb bags at the oriental store lol cheap and AWESOME) When I lay the rice down on the nori (oriental stores have nori also.. just ask) I sprinkle a little bit of sugar on the rice; it masks the flavor of the rice vinegar. And if you like heat, try doing this with imitation lobster and sprinkling it with regular hot sauce! Thanks for posting :)

Frosted Grapes

Holy these rock! Made these for thanksgiving; my bf's sister couldnt stop eating them! Rinse them in a big colander and hit it in the sink a few times to drain. Then put 1/4 of the jello on the grapes and toss in colander until jello is wet. Repeat with the rest of jello. Put them in a bowl in the fridge overnight. This way they arent grainy and theres no mess. Awesome! Thanks for the recipe!

Cake Balls

This is a pain in the o O (butt) recipe, but the results are incredibly addictive. After trying 3 times because I wanted it to work sooo bad, I finally figured it out (for me anyways). While cake is warm, crumble in a bowl and microwave a can of the WHIPPED frosting for about 15 - 20 secs... you want it a tiny bit warm so it is a easier to blend with the cake. Because it is whipped, there isnt as much frosting in the can and because of the air in the frosting it doesnt become the slimy affair a lot of people talked about when combined with the cake. It is like a super dense cake on the inside. Form into balls and FREEZE!! This helped 150% because then the cake didnt fall apart when dipping. When melting the chocolate, add veggie shortening and not liquids. I had a huge problem with the chocolate turning into a non melting mess when add liquid. No milk, no water, no oil. Take half of the batch out of the freezer and use CORN COB POKERS to dip the balls(the ones you stab on the ends of sweet corn so you dont get butter all over your hands). The two prongs helped stablize the balls when upside down. Hold upside down until chocolate stops dripping. I used the holes in a broiling pan to hold the pokers upright until the chocolate hardened. Caramel Apples

Ummm are you kidding?! Caramels, milk and microwave.. how can you go wrong?? I made a bunch for the girls at work and they loved them!! Some I rolled in peanuts and some I topped with homemade peanut butter shell (2/3 c PB chips, 2T margarine, 3t veg oil, microwave 45sec stir and let set for a minute) the apples should be put in freezer, but I only had them in there for a half hour and then refrigerated overnight when done so magic shell would set. Thank you so much for sharing this easy recipe! Made my first attempt at caramel apples a positive one!

Dutch Letter Cookies

I make these all the time for my mom. A friend of hers goes to Pella once a year (we live in Iowa) to the tulip festival and brings a bag home for her. When I found the recipe I immediately went to the store for almond paste and made them. I personally dont like them (I dont like the almond filling) but this deserves 5 stars just for the look I got when she took a bite and realized what they were! I am also in the process of making some for her for Mother's Day! THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS RECIPE! My mom's an expert baker and its nice to be able to suprise her :)

Hot Vanilla

Faux-reos

Ok these arent oreos, but they are great! I used one box of chocolate fudge cake mix (didnt have devils food), one stick of butter (I try to stay away from shortening as much as possible), two eggs and vanilla. How simple! I am leaning towards the fluffy peanut butter frosting that is on this site to fill them. I think strawberry cake mix next time with the "faux-reos" filling sound very good also! Fruit Salad in Seconds

You gotta love "whatever you got" recipes. Its just the two of us, so all I chopped up was 2 bananas, a couple strawberries, and an orange. Threw the bananas with some lemon juice, and used half vanilla yogurt half strawberry. Put it in a pretty dish and set er on the table. He loved it! I got up this morning to have some for breakfast, and the tupperware was in the sink lol Howie says thank you! :)

Buffalo Chicken Rolls

*Drool* This was great! Its pretty salty because of all of the hot sauce, but its still wonderful. I used half of a string cheese in the middle of each breast and shredded mozz on top. Next time I will try pepperjack cheese, like others suggested, and minced jalapenos on the inside. Thanks for the recipe!

Five Minute Ice Cream

Yea well you really need a processor for this recipe. Buy one, borrow one, but dont use a blender. You need a certain amount of liquid to pulverize the strawberries. If i would have done it with a processor it would have been AWESOME. Thanks for sharing!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Ohhh wow... This was THE hit at thanksgiving! I doubled the recipe and it still wasnt enough. If you like heat and poppers this is your recipe! The only change i made was halved the mayo (used lite m. whip) it tasted funny with that much mayo. Gets spicier when heated up. Thanks a bunch!

These are awesome. I dont put chocolate on them tho.. Way too sweet! Instead of pressing into a pan I form them into balls. So much easier than tryin to get them out of a pan that doesnt need to get dirty! Thanks for the recipe!
