Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2014
This is the best recipe for the soup that I've tried. Note that it will filly you up but won't keep you full for long. I usually add cooked rice to it to keep me full.

Black-Eyed Pea Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2013
I didn't care for this soup at all, but the men of the house loved it. I just durn like the flavored of beef and sausage mixed together. I'd do it again differently if the guys want me to, but otherwise I wouldn't make a new attempt.

Mesquite Smoked Jerky

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
Great recipe, but I found the soy sauce + salt overpowering. Next time I'll omit the sale, cut down the soy & add in some hot sauce.

Spicy Black Bean Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
I loved this, but not hubby. I'd make it again in a heartbeat, but I can't justify the work for only myself.

Oregon Salmon Patties

Reviewed: May 26, 2010
Added lots of herbs. More salmon is better. Baked @ 375 for 8 min each side & then broiled 3 min each side.

Spicy Stuffed Squid

Reviewed: May 24, 2010
Excellent! I followed the recipe, but I think next time I'll make a thicker sauce rather than the marinara type as listed. Just a personal preference!

Luscious Turkey Bacon Refried Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
Absolutely delicious! I used regular bacon, just because hubby likes it better. After trying this, I don't think I'll ever buy canned refried beans again!

Artichokes and Green Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
Excellent! I always cook beans with sauteed mushrooms, and I even added a few slices of bacon. Needed a lot of seasoning to go with the fried chicken, but it was delicious.

This was delicious! Not quite hot enough for us with the 2T of curry, so I'll add more next time.

My husband loved this, but I didn't care for it at all, even after making it in a skillet. Sorry, guys, but I think I'll keep on looking...

Easy Shepherd's Pie with Garlic Romano Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
Very good, although I admit I went a little too heave on the potatoes. This is a great way to use leftover meat and turn it into a new meal

Zucchini Herb Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
This was good, but it needed some meat, IMHO. Maybe great for a vegetarian, but we were left wanting something more.

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
Wow - this was so easy and also delicious! I dislike meatloaf immensely, and I only made this because all I had in the house was ground beef, and I know hubby loves meatloaf. I have been won over, and I will certainly make this again.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
We liked the thickness of the sauce, but we were disappointed with the cream cheese flavor. Honestly, my husband makes a sauce much better than this one, but we tried this for something new. I'm sorry, but I think we'll stick with his.

My husband really liked this, but I wasn't too excited. It didn't have nearly the garlic flavor I expected.
