Gelatin-Flavored Popcorn

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
Terrific! I reduced the butter to 1/3 of what the recipe called for and it worked perfectly still. Used blue rasperry jello and will probably eat the whole batch by this evening.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
I liked it on tortilla chips, which helped to add a tiny bit more salt. I agree with previous posters who said to use Panko on top.

Texas Pralines

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
I did like these. They weren't as terribly sweet as hard pralines usually are. However, they're somewhat hard to eat--they get stuck in your teeth!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
This had an amazing texture--very moist and soft. However, I usually like my pumpkin bread with a little more spice, so double the spices. I sprinkle it all over with sugar when I take it out of the oven and it makes a lovely crust.

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
I LOVE this falafel! And I even bake it to make it lower in fat. It gets a nice crispy crust in the oven.

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
I used this as a sauce for chicken & mushroom enchiladas and it was wonderful!

Caramel Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
I loved this, but I agree with other people who increased the crust (I increased mine by 50%, not doubled). I made them with butterscotch as some people suggested, but I like them with chocolate best. Do use less chocolate chips than suggested, though, if you want the caramel flavor to really shine through.

Any Flavor Taffy

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2007
I made this with flavor extract and food coloring instead of the drink mix. If you choose to do that, cook it until 256 degrees so it won't be too soft. Also, I found that it helps to wait until the taffy's pretty cool to try stretching it. I made peppermint, banana, maple, and coconut--all wonderful! My husband said the banana was just like laffy taffy.

Pecan Pralines

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2006
When I thought these were done cooking, I dropped the first few onto sheets, and they were too runny. I put the mixture back on the stove for a few seconds and they seized up. Be very careful about how long you let these cook. I also might add a tiny pinch of salt or use salted butter. Overall they tasted pretty good.
