Ken's Perfect Hard Boiled Egg (And I Mean Perfect)

Reviewed: May 12, 2011
Ken isn't kidding.....these ARE perfect! I followed the recipe exactly, and the shells pretty much slid right off the eggs. It was unbelievable! I used very fresh (purchased yesterday) extra large eggs, and boiled them for 17 minutes. Amazing!

Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
This was one of the best roasts I've ever made! I followed the recipe exactly as written, using a round Le Creuset french oven. The meat was tender and juicy. Make sure you sear the meat before putting it in the oven. It makes all the difference.

Pot Roast in Foil

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
My husband thought it was great, but the meat wasn't as tender as I was expecting.... Think I might try it in the crock pot next time. I made beef and noodles with the leftovers, and it was AMAZING!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
Fabulous! I followed the recipe for the spiced rub as written, but used split chicken breasts and roasted them for 2 hours. I also poured a can of chicken broth in the bottom of my roaster and basted the chicken after about an hour in the oven. Thanks for the great recipe!

Followed recipe exactly as written and it was so good! I freeze individual servings in small plastic containers and pack them in my lunch. Yum!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
Fantastic! The chicken was really juicy, the skin was crispy, and the meat was falling off the bone. I used butter instead of margarine and basted the chicken every 20 minutes. Thanks for the great recipe!

Easy Lemon Cake Cookies with Icing

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
These are great with or without the frosting. I got about 3 dozen medium size cookies, and they were perfect after 8 minutes in the oven. I didn't have lemon extract so I used a few squirts of lemon juice, and it gave the icing a hint of lemon flavor. Delicious!

I followed the recipe as written, but used a 24oz. bag of frozen noodles, and it turned out absolutely perfect! This recipe would be great for a potluck. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Tender and Yummy Round Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
Pretty good, but kind of bland the first time I made it. The second time, I used beef broth instead of water, and seasoned the meat with garlic pepper, seasoned salt and onion powder. We though it was much better with the modifications. This is one of my husband's favorites.

Chicken with Stuffing

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
Fantastic recipe! I made a few modifications, and it turned out perfect. As suggested by other reviewers, I substituted chicken broth for the water. And I used Stove Top Savory Herbs stuffing because that was all I had. I'm sure it would be just as good with any flavor stuffing. My husband loved it, and requested that we have it again soon.

Make-Ahead Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
Delicious! I only had 1 pound of ground beef, so I quartered the recipe and wound up with 16 very large meatballs. I used italian seasoned bread crumbs and some onion powder, because I didn't have any onions on hand. After baking the meatballs for about 10 minutes, I simmered them in 2 jars of store bought marinara sauce for 3 hours. I used 96% lean ground beef and lined my cookie sheets with nonstick foil, and had no problems with the meatballs sticking or being too greasy. They tasted wonderful and were by far the best meatballs I've ever made! We used them for meatball subs, and they were fantastic. A great recipe!

Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
I didn't have any shortening, so I browned the meat in olive oil. I also added 2 beef bouillion cubes and about 1/2 cup of red wine, and it was fantastic! It smelled wonderful while it was cooking. My husband loved it!

Easy French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2008
These were delicious! The second time, I used an extra can of consomme, and it was even better. The recipe is fantastic as is, we just prefer a richer broth. We've had these twice in the past 3 days! My husband asked if we could "put these in the dinner rotation." Thanks for the great recipe!

White Bread For The Bread Machine

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
I used extra virgin olive oil instead of vegetable oil, and used the light crust setting on my bread maker. This is the best white bread recipe I have tried so far! It is very simple, has few ingredients, and turns out perfect every time. We used the last night's leftover bread to make grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch today, and they were amazing!

Hockey Pucks

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
These are fantastic! They remind me of Girl Scout Tagalongs. I usually only make a few cookies at a time, when I have a chocolate craving. I've never made a whole batch, because I'm afraid we would eat them all in one sitting - they are that good!!! Thanks for the great recipe!

Pizzelles II

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2006
What a fabulous recipe! I did substitute butter for the margarine, and doubled the amount of vanilla the recipe called for. I also sifted the flour and baking powder before adding it to the batter. Great holiday cookies for gift giving!
