I've been married 22 years to my soul mate, I turn 50 this year,OH MY!
I come from a resturant family . German mom, Greek father. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother.
I'm one of the few who had a great relationship with my mother in-law,and adored my father in-law.I've learned alot about cooking from both my parents and my in-laws. Family meal time was always a special time, and I continue to carry on the traditions of our familys.
My favorite things to cook
Holiday foods, and comfort foods
My favorite family cooking traditions
making christmas cookies with my mother, the old German cookies. And the Greek pastries and the best part are the family history that my mother and my father share with us while cooking
My cooking triumphs
My first dinner for my new in-laws, it was a stuffed loin roast with all the trimings
My cooking tragedies
Thanksgiving 1986,I had 15 people coming for dinner, everything was perfect, then I took the turkey out and there it was, the thermometer had broken and the stuff inside it had leaked throughout the bird.My guests were very kind and we all had a good laugh, but we took everyone out for dinner even though they said we didn't have to.
