Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
Made this for my husbands b-day. It was good but I didn't feel that it was light the way others had said. It was more like a heavy banana bread with icing. Was looking forward to a light banana cake.

Margarita Cake with Key Lime Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2012
Made them as is, took them to a party, and they did not go over well. They were very heavy in texture and over the top sweet. I won't be making them again. Sorry!

Italian Pinwheel Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
These rolls were really good and very easy to make. Only change I would make would be to use garlic powder instead of fresh garlic. I think it would be more consistantly spread throughout the roll. The fresh garlic gave some bites that were very garlicky cause it was difficult to spread evenly.

Rosemary Chicken with Orange-Maple Glaze

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2012
My kids gave this 10 stars and an A plus. Followed the recipe as is except I added a little garlic to the oil. My new fav chicken. I personally am not a fan of rosemary but I am now!!

Caramel Macchiato Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2011
My first cheescake and it was absolutely delicious. Made it for a party and a man insisted that it was store bought. I'm not sure if I should be offended or thrilled. After it was cool I topped it with caramel. I whipped up some heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla and "filled" the top with it then drizzled it with more caramel. It was like having a latte on a plate! Definately going to be making it a lot in the future. Thank you!

Zucchini Raspberry Cupcakes

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2011
Sorry but my family was not a fan. There was something that didn't work in the cupcake. I think it was a personal taste thing and not the recipe itself. I thought my boys would woof them down but the cupcakes just sat on the counter.

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
I served this at a party with "steak on a stick" from this site. Rave reviews! I also used it to dip veggies and chicken. Definately a keeper.

Steak on a Stick

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
I have served this twice now with rave reviews from everybody. Made it last night with "Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce" which made it more delicious if that's even possible. Too bad there's not more stars to give!

Greek Pasta Salad with Roasted Vegetables and Feta

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
Not a fan of this. Seemed dry and the dressing was bland. Didn't like the cooked veggies. Would prefer fresh veggies because they became mushy in the salad.

Strawberry Tiramisu for Two

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
This was really good but the strawberries don't pop. The coffee flavor overrides them. I like the mascarpone mixture and would use it to make original tiramisu and forget about the pureed strawberries.

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
This is sooo good! Just be careful with the seasoned salt. I felt it was too much for the recipe. Great way of getting your vitamin D. I'm going to crush it up and sneak it into the kids foods.

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
Love these! I liked them better baked in the oven then broiled for a minute to brown the bacon. Too messy on the grill and the bacon burned easily. I brushed them with peach jam to add a little sweetness. I followed others by putting them in the freezer before cooking. Worked out well.

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
I have made this several times and have passed the recipe out to many. This is an excellent soup with lots of flavor. The only change I made was adding italian seasoning. Will continue to make this over and over.

Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
This sauce is excellent and actually very easy to make. DO NOT use fat free half and half to try to save calories. Will make again and again.

Stuffed Chicken Valentino

This was very simple and easy to make. I thought it was good but not great. Served it with cheese ravioli and roasted red pepper cream sauce submitted by Bob Bailey. My kids rated it 3 stars.

Buttermilk Syrup

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
This sauce was good but I definately wouldn't use it on pancakes. It's really thick, very sweet, and more like a caramel sauce then a syrup. I would use it on ice cream or drizzled on apple crumb cake.

Peanut Butter Bars I

Taste was good but I couldn't get them out of the pan without the bottom falling apart and the chocolate top coming off. Kids liked them.

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
I added quartered mushrooms, zucchini, and red onion. Baked them covered for 1 hour and then baked an additional 15 mins for some crispness. I also used red potatoes unpeeled and quartered. Made this for mother's day dinner and 12 people raved about them so can I put in more stars?
