Penne with Chicken and Asparagus

Reviewed: May 2, 2006
Awesome!!!!!!!! Light and very tasty. Two year old LOVED it and picky hubby had seconds. I followed the recipe exactly (or so I thought) my asparagus turned out a little more sauteed than steamed but tasted wonderful.

German Style Kielbasa

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2006
This was very good and easy to make also easy clean up. I only had 3 apples on hand but turned out for the better because that was my husbands least favorite part.

Chicken in a Pot

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2006
This was excellent! My husband and I loved it. I did double the sauce, I saw that a few people recommended that in the past. And there was plenty to go over some noodles we had to go along with it. I also did not take chicken out when finishing sauce, I had some thick breasts and they could use the extra cook time. I just upped the heat to med for about 5 more minutes and PERFECT!

Too dry! Even made extra sauce, the taste wasn't horrible but probably won't make again.

Cabbage and Pasta

Won't make this again. Husband hated it, two year old actually liked it, and I thought it was ok, but definately not good enough to deserve all those calories.

Fabulous Cilantro Pesto

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2006
Very good, although my husband thought it was just alright. I did add water to the pesto instead of more Olive oil (just to save on calories) and still turned out nicely. And It never did come to a simmer after quite a while I turned up the heat and finally gave up and just served it.

Easy Breezy Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2006
This was pretty tasty! I used miracle whip because thats what I had, and I topped with a sprinkle of grated parmesan cheese. Also I did add about a tablespoon of milk because after I mixed the ingredients together it looked a bit dry. Also I think next time I may add some frozen peas in the mix.

Very good, followed recipe exactly. Was a hit with the kids, not really my husbands favorite, but all in all went over well.

Mexican Beef Supreme

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2006
This was good, although it needed more salsa...turned out a bit dry for our taste. We also will try it with rice the next time, I only had tostadas available and it just didn't work out. Went well with refried beans.

Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2006
Can you say COMFORT FOOD!! I could have eaten the whole batch of it. I didn't have sherry on hand so omitted that, and I usd american cheese instead of cheddar. I also did not have corn flakes so I used bread crumbs. The kids even had seconds!

Pork Chops in Beer

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2006
Very good! Hubby rated this a 3 (he's not a big fan of anything tomato based) but I thought it was very tasty. I only used half of the beer that it called for and turned out well.

Grandma's Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2006
EXCELLENT! Everyone loved it, including hubby, 9yr old and 2yr old. I did not add cloves and I also used half ketchup and half barbecue sauce. MMMMMMMMM good served with homemade french fries can't beat it.

Lemon-Pepper Salmon II

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2006
If I could rate this a 4&1/2 I would. Very good and the best thing about it, it was very simple. I actually used a 16 oz. fillet rather than the 4 (4 oz.). It just took a little longer to cook (about 11 minutes). Other than that, I followed the instructions exactly. Oh and the reason it's not a five: my hubby rated it a 4 and my two year old wasn't impressed - but I loved it!

Creamy Kielbasa and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2006
I thought this was pretty good, especially on a cold day. My husband thought it needed something like rice or noodles added to it (maybe we'll try that next time).
