Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
Used pork tenderloin, because I had it, and Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. Put meat in crock pot raw and coated with BBQ sauce. Didn't add anything else. Cooked on low for approx. 6 hours. The meat just fell apart it was so moist. Barely had to "pull" the pork at all. Before serving I added more BBQ sauce and served it right from the crock pot. Received rave reviews. Even got a "Phenomenal" from my brother-in-law. Thanks!

Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
Love this recipe except I don't fry the egg rolls I bake them at 350 for approx. 10 minutes (assuming the filling is still warm, 30 minutes if made ahead of time. Serve with sour cream and Ortega Medium Hot Sauce mixed together (my husband calls this Awesome Sauce). Every time I make this I get requests for the recipe.

Quick Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2008
So easy and very tasty. Made 12 mini quiche using muffin pan instead of pie plate. Cooked approx. 20 at same temp. So good and really portable. Made second batch and replaced bacon with spinach and asparagus. I loved these.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
Tasted great and so easy. I used light sour cream instead of half and half because that is what I had on hand. I also used a stick blender to slightly puree the soup for a really thick consistency.

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
The best bread recipe I have tried! I used AP flour b/c that is what I had and still turned out great. I followed others suggestions and used egg white wash rather than egg yolk. I also place a oven safe container with water in the oven for the humidity.

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
This recipe is great! I followed some others suggestions and added 1/2 tsp cumin and 1/2 tsp chili powder. Very spicy! I also added some frozen spinach and a dash of nutmeg. This made 4 servings for my family. I will definitely make these again.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
Loved these! The pumpkin flavor is not overwhelming. Made for an autumn play-date and the kids loved them as much as the adults. Thank you for the wonderful recipe.

Crunchy Cinnamon Raisin Buns

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2010
Delicious and easy to make! My husband LOVES raisin sticky buns and he said these were as good as the Amish ones we buy at the farm market. Only problem was in the removal of the bun from the baking liners. I did this right from the oven and still lost some of the pastry with the liner. The longer I waited the more pastry lost. Thinking about baking it in a pan next time like regular cinnamon buns.

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2012
This soup was so delicious, and exactly what I was looking for. I made this without the wine, purely because I didn't have any on hand. Just used more beef broth. I also used 2 sweet onions and 2 white onions. Even delicious with store bought croutons instead of the bread. I served it to a friend and she demanded the recipe!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2012
These taste fabulous! I've already made them twice. Added 1/2 a teaspoon cream of tartar, as suggested in another review, to make a prettier cookie. It doesn't effect the taste, but helps not have such a smooth cookie. Looked more like cookies from a bakery.
