About this Cook
I have cooked with my mom as far back as I remember. I have great memories cooking with my grandmothers and great-aunt. They were the greatest cooks. I am a vegetarian, but I enjoy cooking for my family of meat eaters. I am gradually trying to change to healthier and organic foods.
My favorite things to cook
Pizza most of all, enchiladas, tacos, french onion soup, breads, appetizers, chocolate desserts, cookies...
My favorite family cooking traditions
Homemade bread passed down from my Italian great grandmother. Making Christmas cookies with my kids.
My cooking triumphs
I can make a great pizza, better than any you can get from any pizzeria, well, at least most of them.
My cooking tragedies
Trying to make petit fours.

Sue's Hot Fudge Sauce
I really did not like this. I made it exactly as directed. It tasted kind of like burnt plastic. It had to be the evaporated milk in it. I've made a recipe using heavy cream and chopped chocolate and it tasted like hot fudge sauce should taste.

Italian Bread Bowls
These were ok, but I don't think I would make them again. Just not the good rustic bread taste I was hoping for. They're alright for a basic bread bowl, but I'll keep searching for the right one for me.

Sweet and Sour Chicken I
My family loved this recipe, even my very picky daughter. They said this was so delicious, even better than any restaurant. I only made half the amount of chicken, but I felt like it took me forever to fry it. For the batter, I would suggest adding the cornstarch to the 1 1/2 cups water to avoid clumping. I'm sure I will be making this again, because my family will definitely request it.
