Waffles II

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2013
I made this with regular milk and with buttermilk. The buttermilk won, hands down! Also supplements with cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla. YUM!

The Best Relish I've Ever Had

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2012
I have never liked relish - until I made this. Absolutely outstanding! I used picklers, added mustard seed with two large sweet peppers (great color and taste!) and omitted the flour, and reduced the sugar slightly (not much). I can't wait to try this on my burgers and 'dogs!

Best Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2007
This recipe is AWESOME! Well worth the work. I have a food allergy to soy, so I cannot eat processed cake mixes and frostings. The whole trick to this is how long it's whipped. I whip the butter and sugar in the mixing bowl for 1/2 hour. While it's mixing, cook the milk and flour mix (I added 1 teaspoon butter)on low heat, and then increase temp to medium. As soon as it thickens to pudding consistency, I remove it from heat, let it sit on the stove at room temp for 20 minutes or so. Don't refridgerate it. Add the milk and flour mix to the mixing bowl in 2-3 separate increments, add the vanilla, and then mix another 10-15 minutes. Fantastic - tastes fabulous on chocolate layer cake! Thanks for this one!

Cinnamon Bread Delight

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
I have made this recipe so many times, it's memorized. My entire family loves it. I've done with sweetened applesauce, unsweetened, cinnamon, added apple bits, tossed in extra cinnamon, and it still comes out a winner every time. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!! Thanks for sharing!

Chocolate Cookie Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
Absolutely the creamiest frosting I've ever had. Works well with electric mixer and softened butter, and I did add a bit more milk. YUMMY!
