Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2015
Easy to make and tasted great. The only thing was that it took a lot longer to cook the biscuits than the 30 minutes stated; it was more like 2 hours. The leftovers tasted great the next day also.

Worry Free Ice Cream

Easy to make and the texture was good. The taste- not so much. We will keep looking for another recipe.

Brown Sugar and Mustard Ham Glaze

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
Very easy and really good. I used this for Christmas and I will use it again. I doubled it for a 6 pound ham and was glad that I did. I also think it would make a really good dipping sauce for ham or chicken if it was watered down.

Waffles II

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
Light and fluffy and easy to make. I was skeptical about whipping the egg whites but was glad I took the time to do it. Wasn't sweet enough for my family, and next time I will add a little sugar and vanilla.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2012
Don't know what all the hype was about these. I followed the recipe exactly and did not care for them. I am a pretty good baker but these were dry and tasted like something was missing (and yes, I double checked to make sure I included everything).

Molasses Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
This is the same recipe that my family has been using for over 30 years except that ours calls for 1/3 cup of molasses. The other difference in ours is that we refrigerate the dough for several hours before baking. I think this may help with the spreading out that some are mentioning. Also, storing it with a piece of bread in the container keeps them soft.

Chicken Potpie

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
Very yummy and easy to make, although it took me longer than the time specified to prepare this. Was also very good warmed up the next day. Like other reviewers, I also needed 2 double crusts, not the one as specified. It would be easy to customize and interchange the vegetables for others.

Pecan Praline Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
I bought these at a church bake sale a couple of years ago and have been searching for this recipe. This is it! The first time I made these I left out the cream of tartar (another similar recipe) but they didn't set up firm enough without it. Very addicting.

Blueberry Cream Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
Just made these today. They were easy and tasted great. I suggest cutting the recipe in half because it made a pretty large number of muffins. I made it into mini-muffins and baked them for 10-12 minutes. I also added an oatmeal streusel topping but it oozed off onto the pan and made a mess. Either way, they were yummy and I will make them again.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
Sooooo good! I added the oatmeal topping as suggested by another reviewer. This was THE BEST zucchini bread I've ever tried. It didn't last long at our house. I am planning on making this one again soon.

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
I like the idea that this recipe would be easily adaptable to many different vegetables but it didn't work well for us. The flavors just seemed "off."

Super easy and super yummy! Made a great garlic bread and a good sauce for dipping pizza into when melted.

Seminary Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
Very easy to make and very moist. I made these for my young daughter so I left out the nuts and chocolate. She loved them. I thought they were pretty good, especially for a 'healthier' muffin. I have made this twice now.

Mini Pumpkin Muffins with Orange Drizzle

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
I made these this morning and enjoyed them. Although I was looking forward to it, I realized that I didn't have any orange juice to make the drizzle. I will make sure I have it next time. Because I like chunks in my muffins, I added white chocolate chips to half of the muffins and I think I liked it better with the chips.

Baked Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2007
I made this yesterday for CHristmas Eve dinner. It was my first attempt making a ham and it was very easy. I actually made two seperate bonelss half-hams because I was afraid it might not turn out. Even though they were cut from the same ham, they tasted exactly the same (and the traditional was just as easy). This one was, however, slightly more tender IMO but everyone else preferred the traditional ham. I think I;ll stick with that one.

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
I was a little dissappointed with this recipe at first. I expected it to be more like a relish, not a sauce (my own mistake). It was very easy, though, and I actually think I prefered it to the second, uncooked recipe I made the same day!

Fast English Muffin Pizzas

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
We have been making these for years. It is great for a quick meal or hearty snack. Toasting (or baking) the muffins before adding the sauce and cheese gives them a nice crunch, too.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
I agree with the other reviewers. This is just a basic muffin recipe that could be easily tweaked to an individual's preferences. They have the texture of a cupcake. I enjoyed the flavor but usually like to eat my muffins while they are still warm. They completely fell apart. They tasted and looked much better (and held up better) later in the day.
