Sesame Beef Bites

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
This was very good. I served it on rice. I cooked it for four minutes because I like my meat medium rare. I stir fried some broccoli and fennel on the side.

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
I liked this recipe. It was easy and tangy, but nothing out of this world. My husband enjoyed it more than I did. I will likely try Dijon mustard if I try this again.

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
These were so amazing. I seared them for approximately 2 minutes per side only and put in a warm oven. Thoroughly enjoyed them I had 8 chops therefore I doubled the sauce. Turned out great!

Grain and Nut Whole Wheat Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
I used vanilla yogurt instead of buttermilk and I also used apple sauce instead of oil...probably a big mistake... Did not like the texture of these pancakes. I felt like it tasted like a huge oatmeal cookie.

Roasted Rack of Lamb

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
OH MY GOODNESS!! This was the first time I have ever made Rack of lamb...it melted in our mouths. I had two racks of about 8 or 9 bones. I doubled the recipe. It was out-of-this-world good. I served with baby potatoes and broccoli. I will definitely make this again.

Salmon with Brown Sugar Glaze

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
A little too sweet for me and I think the sugar kind of burned slightly on the fish...however...the texture and taste of the salmon was excellent once I scraped off the parts that burned a bit.

Garlic Broccoli

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2011
I did not follow the directions on this one, but I am sure it tasted as great as it would have if I did. I put all the ingredients in aluminum foil and threw it on the BBQ...Delicious and no mess!

Grilled Citrus Tuna

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2011
Probably this recip would have been fine. However, I purchased previously frozen tuna steaks and they lacked the flavour and texture of fresh. My supermarket informed me that because of the overfishing problem with tuna, we should expect to see previously frozen tuna more often...I am very sad because I love fresh tuna...this tuna was blah. Slow Cooker Chili II

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2011
Enjoyed this very much. I used one can of mixed beans and one can of black beans because that is what I had. I used a large can of diced tomatoes and one 5 oz can of tomato paste instead of the two cans of tomato puree. I rinsed my beans before adding them because I heard others say that it was soupy and I prefer a thicker chili.

Delicious!! We loved it. I didn't have roma tomatoes so I chopped a regular tomato. Added a bit of dried chilies before serving.

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2011
Very good. Almost like a blueberry muffin but sweeter with the crumble topping. We served with fresh blueberries and strawberries and a little ball of ice cream.

Triple Berry Crisp

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
First of all I halved the recipe for an 8 x 10 pan. We loved my "doctored" version. I used strawberries instead of blackberries. I did not add sugar to my wonderful fresh juicy fruit. I only used 1/4 cup of butter and half the brown sugar in the crumble. It turned out delicious. I will definitely make again.

Awesome Spicy Beef Kabobs OR Haitian Voodoo Sticks

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2011
This recipe packs some heat. I was quite surprised. I used filet mignon cubes so of course they were super tender, but I may tame it down to 1 or 1.5 teaspoons of the cayenne pepper. Everyone loved it though...except for my daughter who does not like spicy food.

Teriyaki and Pineapple Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2011
Super easy and flavourful. We loved it...might cut down on the crushed red pepper next time as it had quite a bite to it. Didn't add the flour because I used fresh pineapple and only added a little bit of juice that I had in the fridge, so it was thick enough...YUMMY!
