Sirloin Marinara

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2012
My whole family liked this one. I sprinkled some beef bouillon over the beef before adding the tomato sauce and then a few shakes of worcesteshire as some had suggested and it was delish! I used Ragu Chunky GardenStyle sauce and served over Simply Potatoes garlic mashed. A little bread to sop the sauce and you have a really nice weekday skillet dinner.

Orange Cranberry Drops

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
I am making these to go on my holiday cookie trays and I am afraid that I am going to have to make another batch....they are never going to last that long! Very nice delicate orange flavor with a tart bite from the cranberries. I found that I had to bake them a little longer than the recipe called for, about 14 minutes, and they were more flat than in the pictures, but that may be because I am in Florida and it's 80* today and humid. They are delicious though!

Antipasto Squares

I get great reviews when I make this. I usually leave the peppers off half because my hubby doesn't like them.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
Always a huge hit. I do not recommend using canned chicken though. Either use 2 large cooked boneless skinless chicken or for an easier alternative the Perdue Short Cuts oven roasted chicken strips chopped up. One package is usually sufficient. Love to serve this with blue tortilla chips.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2010
This dish made the whole house smell like a good Chinese restaurant! I did as others suggested and doubled the sauce, dredged the chicken and added a TBS of toasted sesame seeds. My family loved it and there was not a nugget of chicken left.

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
This was really yummy. I added some sauteed onions as others had suggested and I used a Hormel heat and eat pork roast that I shredded. I served this on slider rolls with smoked Gouda. Definitely a keeper!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
This was a really good and easy recipe. I added one bag of frozen mixed veggies. I would recommend more than 30 minutes for the dumplings to get done though. Mine took every bit of an hour to get done all the way through.

This is another one of those recipies that sounds odd but works! I marinated overnight and it was delicious. This would be fabulous on kabobs.

Pomegranate Martini II

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
Yummy! I made this as my "featured cocktail" at my annual Christmas Eve shindig and it got rave reviews! I didn't have raspberry vodka so I used the regular kind and they still turned out delicious and pretty too! This will become a regular at our house!

Beer Batter

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
Terrific! Nice and light and tasty. I used this for shrimp and dredged in flour prior to dipping in the batter as some suggested. Definitely going in the recipe box! Might add a pinch of cayenne to the dredging flour next time for a little extra kick.

These meatballs were a hit at my Luau themed baby shower! I added a little soy sauce to the apricot glaze. I just loved the crunchy addition of the chopped waterchestnuts. Even my picky husband liked them.

Pasta Primavera with Italian Turkey Sausage

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2006
This was simple and delicious. I used regular pork Italian sausage and left out the green pepper. I also added some extra cheese. This is a really good "company recipe". Looks pretty and tastes great!

Cafeteria Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2006
This was a big hit with my family. I doubled the amount of macaroni and used a little more of the bread crumb topping. Very tasty and it did not get oily like some mac and cheese recipes do.
