Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
Wow! These were awesome. Chewy, chocolatey, rich, sweet, thick, and delicious. These are the best brownies I've ever made/ate/inhaled. I was actually sad when I finished eating my first one. So, I cheered myself up and ate a second. I almost popped out of my pants--I told you they were rich! These brownies are a gift from Gahd. Thank you, Brooke!

Baked Haddock

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
I didn't think I could cook fish, but this recipe looked so friendly. I got rave reviews! I don't even like fish, but this was so light, flakey and buttery. It was delicious and so easy to make! My dad said, "Boy, you sure know how to cook a fish!" That was awesome to hear. My boyfriend said, "When are we having that fish you made again?" I love cooking for an appreciative audience and this recipe made me look like a great chef! Thank you for a great recipe. It's a staple in my dinner rotation now.

Lentil Soup

My husband loves this. I added kielbasa because he's a carnivore. It's a hearty meal and he asks for it all the time.

Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2014
My husband loves this recipe. He loves biscuits and gravy and I have tried many recipes. I finally found it! This is a winner. I know it says "Serves 6", but he insists on more than one serving, so I'd say it serves 4 hungry people. He's the only one who eats it, so I freeze the rest in Food Saver bags. It freezes very well. Just heat it up with another splash of cream or milk. Every weekend we have "Biscuits and Gravy Sunday". If I ever stopped making this, I'm sure he would leave me.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2014
Delicious! Without much effort, you can have a yummy terryaki sauce that didn't have to come out of a jar. The sauce is delicious, but, as other reviewers have said, line the pan with foil or you will have a black, sticky mess. I have made this many times. It's my favorite chicken dish.

Easy Tuna Patties

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2014
So good! It never occurred to me to cook tuna fish! This is delicious. It's an easy, quick weeknight dinner. I had everything in my pantry! I did make a change swapping out soy sauce for the lemon juice. I've made this many times.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2014
I love everything about this soup. It's so flavorful and creamy. It's a hearty meal and cozy meal in the cold months and can substitute for clam chowder for summer barbecues. I have everything on hand when I break out this recipe. I am so impressed with this simple to make but high impact dish, that I made it for my (partially self catered) wedding this past summer. It was a hit with our guests.

Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2011
Foolproof is right! I've made this five times and everytime it comes out perfectly. I've used it for roasts ranging from 4lbs to 6lbs and the same method applies to all. Flavorful, juicy, perfectly done. Rib roasts are so expensive, you need a recipe that won't fail. This is it. Couldn't be easier. Thank you for this awesome recipe.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2015
So delicious. With some simple ingredients, plus 5-6 overripe bananas, you will have an irresistible treat. I usually make banana bread when I see I have a couple of overripe bananas, so since you have to use about 6, you need to plan ahead. I put chopped walnuts in it and I will never use another banana bread recipe. We had some right out of the oven and it was just as good toasted the next day. Thank you for a wonderful recipe.

Asian Tuna Patties

Delicious and easy to make! I wish they stayed together better. A couple of them fell apart, but they still tasted great. Wonderful, quick dinner with ingredients I have on hand. Thanks for the recipe.
