I'm a college student with a kitchen the size of a phone booth. I started watching cooking shows a few years ago and got hooked. My food is better than restaurant food any day. I'm usually a strict recipe follower but I've recently become more comfortable improvising.
My favorite things to cook
I love meat in almost any form, ribs especially. Fried food is very common in my kitchen. A health nut would probably faint if they knew what I ate in a week (I should be dead by now, and I'm only in my 20's).
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family doesn't cook. My sis is a vegetarian and I've always been a picky eater, so my mom gave up cooking 15 years ago. I don't think my dad knows where the kitchen is.
My cooking triumphs
I fell in love with a tomato dill soup I had at a restaurant, and set out to find a similar recipe. I never found what I was looking for, so I made one up. I was blown away with what I made after one trial... I'll never go back to the restaurant.
