About this Cook
I am a lover of bachelor food (random things a college student would have thrown together to make home quality meals...who'd have thought my college days would teach me to cook well?) and use it as my cheap escape from a busy life.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, Italian, Mexican.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pumpkin themed meals in the fall/winter months, I can't get enough pumpkin!
My cooking triumphs
I'm known as the family baker (cheesecakes, jelly rolls, etc...) and I really look up to my aunts and their baking so this makes me proud.
My cooking tragedies
What tragedies? The only one I can think of would be making Fettuccine Alfredo one evening and putting too much garlic for the families tastes (but my dad and I loved it..).

Strawberry Dream Cake I
I just made this and it was amazing. I used some mini spring form pans to make these because I did not have anything else to use at the time. Five small cakes took 25-30 mins to cook at the same time. I then cut each into smaller layers and stacked them. They are very nice, cute looking cakes...But they taste 20 times better than they look

Baked Pork Spring Rolls
My newly married brother was looking for some side dish ideas and I found this one looking for him. I tried them just now, but with chicken (store was out of ground pork...need to shop earlier in the day), slaw mix (make it easy and fast so I could let him know how they were), and egg roll wrappers because my local store doesn't carry spring roll wrappers. I have to say, these were great!! I have a whole bunch frozen because I purposely doubled the recipe. Also I love spicy food, so I added extra chili sauce. Thanks so much for this recipe. It didn't take me long at all and it tastes great. Not to mention I have something easy to take to work with me now for something different (work fast food right now...hello potato oven)

Fettuccine Alfredo V
This was very good and went well with my family. However, there was way to much garlic. I will definately make this again, but with much less garlic.
