About this Cook
I am a stay-at-home Mom. I home school my children. I am also a self-employed hairdresser who works from home. I enjoy cooking :)
My favorite things to cook
I am a true southern girl. I enjoy preparing chicken-n-dumplins, chicken pie, collard greens, tomato pie, mac-n-cheese, pinto beans, BBQ, coleslaw, sausage gravy, fried chicken, potato salad, and I love to bake homemade biscuits.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to have everyone to our home for Thanksgiving. We have the traditional fare, Turkey, Dressing, Cranberries, Deviled Eggs, Green Beans, and of course Pumpkin, Pecan, and Apple pie. It's one of my favorite meals to prepare. My family looks forward to the meal, and the leftovers.
My cooking triumphs
My boyfriend recently taught me how to make homemade biscuits! Yummy :)

Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole
This recipe is very greasy. Too much butter.

Soft Sugar Cookies IV
This recipe is very good. I like the softness of the cookie. I did add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon for added flavor.

Oriental Cold Noodle Salad
This dish is simple and great. I had all of the ingredients on hand, which is a plus. I also added a few items. I added sauteed chicken and shrimp. I also tossed in a handful of snap peas, sliced cucumbers, and topped it off with a sprinkle of black sesame seeds for added crunch. Yummy!
